Further question for the hive mind, looking at the wheel bearing kits, there seem to be heavy, standard and light duty hubs, looking at the various suppliers, how do you know which ones you have?

I did not now there was a choice ,i used to go to main dealer and just say front wheel bearing for 785xl and they just gave my a kit of inner and outer bearings and a dust seal ,

@Jack390 that will all compost up nicely 😁

Today I was actually at home for more than enough time to sleep, so took the new 785 on a shake down round the top paddocks. Problems that immediately need looking at are the wheel hub that's falling off, probably collapsed bearings, the oil being sprayed under the tinwork and the issues with gear selection. The latter of which I have partially solved by removing this (pictured) from the linkages, and can find first gear again. If anyone knows how to realign the linkages so I can move from low to high, I'd appreciate the help, high seems to have slipped forward from the neutral position.

Regarding your gears , if there is a lot a ware in linkages they can get out of line ,mine used to if i tried to move them to quick , you got to get a prybar in there and gently force it back ,well thats what i had to do a few times

  3. This is my mates baler and rows of straw that we are struggling to get in baler ,loads of straw but not grain ,my baler the same ,if we run same way as combine it goes in better but if we run other way it seems to lift it and jam up ,we got about 750 small bales done for a 1500 order my mate has ,i then need about 400 and my mate needs about 800 for some other orders he has . Both are balers have had knotter issures over last few weeks ,we had differant people look at them and fix them ,mine so far is ok but did cost more than my mates as we replaced more parts ,i got my man to look at colins baler on wednesday and he said bill-hooks and wiper arm on right hand knotter needs changing and other things need tweaking which he is going to do so his will end up costing more than mine in the end as paying twice ,as long as its fixed is what matters as broken bales in sledge is not fun

    Harvest Log Day 4

Grabbed a few hours yesterday before rained off yet again, at least thats the last two fields at Ilford Bridges done. 2 blocks of rape left, Blackdown and Bondip East, probably head to Blackdown next as that’s being bashed about a little by the weather as it’s high up on the hill.IMG_4488.thumb.png.8a1390b3aed8acf2303fcf58f7fe978f.png

No combining yesterday (Monday) as too wet, worked out quite well as we had GPS Geoff booked on from Hunt Forest Group to fit Starfire to some machines. Simon has decided to come away from Trimble because of reliability issues, he spec’ed the new Deeres with Starfire and decided to roll it out on the Cat, Combine and Sprayer, so a wet day well spent fitting and setting up. Since Hunts are the dealers for Bailey trailers we felt we needed to upgrade the farm bowser, used mainly for the 500 acre block of land 20 miles away at Bondip but also now farming Joes down the road too it future proofs fuel logistics. Geoff bought it along with him since he was coming up. Tom spent the day putting the toppers to use knocking down rape stubble at Selvinge and Colin dugthe old Chisel plough out of the nettles, see if we can get it up and running.IMG_4441.thumb.jpeg.2ed9643c3f2248a7b4a917f06d8256e7.jpegIMG_4440.thumb.jpeg.b27f472cfe2a1313a518cef45866471f.jpegIMG_4444.thumb.jpeg.f2b3ea5b0036300291c658f25a272e95.jpegIMG_4446.thumb.jpeg.7f44ba137c666bb463f5ce692df4a057.jpegIMG_4448.thumb.jpeg.f24f4e3927afbf344cd3369ed0ef4c02.jpegIMG_4452.thumb.jpeg.6753868bc011b347b05aa32d2339f130.jpegIMG_4453.thumb.jpeg.e28dfd5a78a482f56a02257b833723e0.jpegIMG_4439.thumb.jpeg.306627665406d4fc8918d3706ed96f5b.jpegIMG_4455.thumb.jpeg.dda084d7536b20fb2c3b3448d170fdc4.jpegIMG_4456.thumb.jpeg.8e9b9730728b343e5fe1885ebbf16b05.jpegIMG_4458.thumb.jpeg.38cd0a7887a44c85cf9b8f8cf0ff0813.jpeg
