  1. Back at harvest time i was going to take the major and weeks trailor to the field to fill up for seed corn but rain was not far away and i was on my own at the time so i took the combine with a full tank back to the yard and 5 minutes later it rained

A few weeks ago i decided i would put my 4240 up for sale, i had owned the tractor 20years and never had anything major go wrong with it just a clutch and a starter motor it had been a good tractor for us .anyway we had a few people call about it and one made me a good offer so i sadly let it go .
  4. Not today but back at harvest time i played a small part in getting my mates late fathers tractor back running ,it had not run for about 5 years due to ill health ,anyway its back running on bale carting and rolling duties

  7. Nice collection so far John ,bet it took more than a few minutes to get them out and photo , and i expect you still have a lot more to come
  8. My latest brochures, some i got of Goody and some i pick up from Stuart Gibbards open day a couple of weekends back when myself and Goody paid him a visit

Thanks John ,yes the two of us soon covered a bit of ground and was able to cart most of them in daylight ,we just had to leave the full trailers at the farms we was delivering to and pick them up empty a bit later on ,so after taking out 2nd trailer we could pick up 1st one to reload ,yes its a 856 ,he has only recently bought it to replace a troublesome JD that he had ,the 856 was in good order but paintwork was dull so he had a local body shop give it a respray

  13. certainly a funny year ,we are the same right weather but at the wrong time ,no i have not quite finished mine ,about 1 day on wheat and 1 day on spring barley will finish mine but i then have 22 acres wheat for another mate and then a bit more wheat for my other mate Colin as he is still struggling getting grass baled up ,we will probably run his M/F combine and mine together in last few fields we just need the sun to come out ,been a dull few days here wheat is 18%
  14. You dont see it done this way much today ,a field not too far from me ,i think Goody might be able to say where it is
  15. I have a contractor bale and clear some of my wheat straw ,some of it go to a power station VID_20210821_092645.mp4
  16. I was to busy so i had local tire company fit me 4 new tires on the AS 10 ton trailer
  17. When i had a hr to spare i took the rowcrops of the tractor and sprayer and put them on a big pallet and put them at back of a shed till next year
  18. After i had cut my barley myself and my mate Colin baled about 2000 small bales and 47 4foot round ones and carted them to 3 local livestock farmers
