Sad day for you but at least they are going to be reborn ,thats a nice low-loader trailer ,does it ride well ,does it have a sprung drawbar
-
I have been hand-digging again today ,to uncover a electric cable thats been in the ground a few years know ,it has been running up the outside of the barn but because i already have a hole basically right next to it i have exposed it and taken the duct of it as tomorrow when my electrician turns up we are going to disconnect it slide it in a new bit of duct to join up with old bit and poke it into hole and up and under barn floor and reconnect up , we have UK POWER coming on friday to put under ground my over-head 3 phase cables though same hole in barn floor .

The Valley Axeman's Major Marshall Mission
smithy replied to Valley Axe Man's topic in FTF Member Machinery
Like the rest of the comments Paul you do keep her tidy ,cant believe how clean the wheel rims are the white really stand out . my neighbours bought a Marshall bale trailer last year ,they reckon its a lovely trailer rides well loaded or unloaded -
Forgot to say Weaving do a GD drill which is along the same lines and a 4meter would be around £35,000 and would need around 200hp ,the weaving that my mate owns you could pull with 100hp in good conditions but 150hp in sticky conditions ,weaving also do a Sabre Tine drill which is a cheaper version than the GD and is around £29,000 for a 4 meter i think
-
That drill has been around for a few years now ,its more of a direct drill eg you can go straight into stubbles with no cultivation done before hand or into cover crops without it blocking . the weaving drill is a good bit lighter and a 4meter would be around £20,000 and a 4meter Mzuri is i think £70,000ish and you need a lot more horses to pull it ,yes it is a good drill ,i went to a demo on one must have been about 4 years ago ,the farmer that makes them told me what the name Mzuri means but i have forgotten ,its something like his favourite holiday place or along them lines .As for your alloy booms and a herb grower is it Duncan West up the A140 ?

UK Power are also going to bury the overhead 3ph cables that go to my barn but i have to do all the hard/mucky work. First of all i have to make a hole inside barn ,then outside and tunnel though avoiding the water-pipe, allow i have been able to use the digger on a good bit of it there was a good bit of hand digging around the other water-pipes , yesterday was ok as it was dry and slightly warm today was cold and drizzly and the clay just stuck to everything ,tomorrow speak of being very wet but am hoping to get sand on top of the duct i got in late tonight and then backfill the middle bit as i have to leave both ends open fo UK-Power
-
I have to put a electric cable under ground around my late mothers garage so i can get a separate electric meter on as we share the one in my barn ,last time i got the breaker out (February 12th 2020) i damaged my wrist and its still not right now so i got the brother-in-law to help this time , had to be min of 600mm deep with the duct then 100mm of sand on top of duct then the warning tape ,then back fill with what we dug out ready to re-concrete ,this bit is basically ready for uk-power
-
Could you get it posted to a mate in Holland and then get them to send it on to you maybe or would they be in the same position
-
this power major has not been running for about 20 years but with some fresh fuel and a tow around the barn about 20 times she fired up , also not sure if the video will work as not sure how i have loaded it ,also might be one on ploughing ,dont now till i push the button VID_20201108_125512.mp4 VID_20201011_142153.mp4
