  1. Then got out the digger and scraped back the edge so he can keep his fence running level allow the angle of direction changes a bit now, will back fill my side when he has finished my side is just a bit higher than his side
  2. on Saturday I moved all my fire wood that was next to last of the conifer trees and with my neighbours help we cut down conifers and pulled out the roots
  3. Before I went to Leamington spa last sat/sunday I had pulled out a few more conifer tree roots for my neighbour so over the weekend he could get a few more fence panels up , which then just leaves the last 12 or so to cut and pull out
  4. My mate that lifted me up in basket to cut tree lives next door to it so we then swapped over and I lifted him up to cut his small bits that had grown up and nearly touching electric wires
  5. It was last done in 1987 just after we had that strong wind / hurricane that took down thousands of trees ,it snapped the big branches of this one
  6. On Monday last week my neighbour moved in on one of my overgrown hedges it was dark when I left the farm early that morning as I had to be on a training course by 8am which was about one hr away so did not get a picture before he started ,when I got back about 1.30pm he had cut the lot down with his tree- shear and laid it on field he then doubled back over it cutting out big bits for firewood he then swopped over cutter for a grab and heaped up the rest ready for burning , what that machine did in a day would have taken me a good two weeks of hard work as it all had to go up hill on to field as there is a steep bank leading up to my field from the edge of the main road , I just had to run chainsaw over the stumps that he had left as machine cuts about 6to10 inches above ground level ,we plan on cleaning out the small ditch that was under the hedge next autumn/winter
  7. I had a ride up in the air when finished to took down on the destruction we had done
  8. More tree work yesterday my mate needed this walnut tree taken down bit by bit I was the driver for most of the day so had heater on full blast while he was up in the air
  9. Got asked if I could help my brother this morning as he needed a driver for this JCB he had hired in , by the end of the day the two carpenters had got them all fixed down so it safe overnight they will finish the bracing and what's called the ladders on the ends tomorrow as long as its not snowing
  10. Just saw pictures on the news A30 road in Cornwall is at a standstill due to the snow , Wales is getting it as well . Down here in Suffolk it was minus 6 this morning then by 8am it came over very foggy then cleared to bright sunshine and as there was no wind it was a pleasant day ,turned cold again now its about -1 we might get some snow overnight
  11. This was taken this morning ,bit more to come tomorrow so forecasters say
  12. Had to cut this down today for a mate , not high but it was wide filled the trailer 3 times , I did cut it off level with ground but phone went flat so could not get final picture
  13. When it got to dark outside to work I went back in barn and did bit more cutting ,drilling and welding on frame , it now fits front linage on case ,just got to cut the two outside bits of level with the piece of box running along the bottom , then I have a couple of cat one ball-end to weld on for lower linkage and then just make up a fixed very short top-link bit and hopefully it will all fit/work , might get a bit more done Monday ,watch this space
  14. I had a bit of firewood in the way so I loaded it up onto the trailer that I got given the other week
  15. Had to leave making the adapter plate as I said I would help cut down a few more conifers for my neighbour up the farm as he is replacing them with a nice fence ,going to pull out roots next weekend
  16. After a bit more cutting than I had planned I laid it on the box to look and to think of what to do next , got to keep clear of the bracket in the middle as it is a trip for the box
  17. This Fleming transport box came with the Chinese tractor I bought last year and the 3point linkage fittings are cat 1 so wont fit on front linage of case mxu135 as its cat 2 don't wont to cut and weld box as still need to use it on the Chinese machine so I thought if I look on my junk heap I might find a ready made headstock that I could convert to a adapter plat , red one was a M/F finger bar mower I broke up several years ago ,orange one came of a Ransomes -faun potato harvester ,neither one was exactly right width for front linkage but decided to go with the red one .
