I'm going back to my roots and building a Ford 7000 from the old Britains original casting . I've just completed a County 754 built from a 5000 using Siku JCB Fastrac axles and wheels. -

1972farming replied to 1972farming's topic in General Hobby Discussion
I will have acloser look over the weekend. They are quite heavy which made me think they were solid but I will let you know when I have had a better look. They are more textured than Britains animals and i like the kneeling one. -

I must admit that somebody did bid against me but I had to have them when I saw them. They really are very nicely made, they almost feel solid but I am not sure. I can't believe that there is next to no information on the company. They came at a good price too...................... -

Does anyone know anything about Glyntoys. I have just bought some nice old lead farm animals which are all boxed. The are in plain card boxes marked GLYNTOYS, FARMYARD SERIES Made in Loughborough. The boxes are similar to the Britains picture packs but with out the art work. I'm really chuffed with them and would just like to know some background if anyone can help. Thanks

Thanks for your help guys. I have just remember that I have the suspended animation herald book somewhere. That may give me some clues etc.

I know its not farm related but can anyone tell me when the Britains Knights of the Sword range was launched please ? I have a few old Deetail knights kicking around and have found a couple of castles etc on ebay and can't really date them. I have some old catalogues but not from the later 1990s etc. Thanks in advance for any help.

You've got me stumped mate.............. I have just been through this thread again and found that it could be the miniset counter top box or the farm display at the top od page 5. I also had a nice red stock box like the one on page 6. I am guessing its one of those three items.
