  1. i've just been nitromoring the paint off that thing, I seriously can not believe how thick it is, there is a load more detail in that casting that you just can't see, on mine at least anyway. On a side note, I made the discovery that nitromors, ros paint and water produces a bang and some smoke
  2. One other thing, the protection added for the fuel tanks and air resoviors, is part of the folding ramp from the transporter cut in half
  3. For FB's benefit (from ebay) I've now managed to get another siku log trailer (the chassis rails on the siku match the lorry perfectly) and will mount the spare crane on an artic when I get one. As for the number plates, they have now appeared on more than one vehicle in the fleet
  4. These are some pictures of a newray truck converion I'm working on, I was going to wait until it was finished, but I've had a disaster with the grill on the lorry (it melted) so next time you see this it may be a DAF (in a way better, as I don't like the top line cab on this) or just another scania grill. Still some work to be done then, the trailer will also be converted to carry logs, and whatever cab I use will be decaled. The crane and log holding things are all siku parts, the controls outrigers etc are scratch built and my own decals.
  5. Guys, I don't mean to be rude, but please remember this forum's guidelines, the suggestions would be fine, but the questions about when or what are unfair unless anounced.
  6. Good point, the Ford County 1884 was never produced in the colour it actaully was in real life, that would be a good revival
  7. The attachments, the large one is a flat 8 bale grab, which would pick up 8 square bales once they had come out of the bale sled towed behind the baler
  8. Above pic shows how loader attaches to casting of tractor, it would attach to nearly all tractors in the Brtiains range, indeed, many of the range still have this casting, although the design of the wieghts on the front stops it being used
  9. I was going to post some pics, but then I had tea, that comes first, obviously
  10. Ah confusion....I like it I'm refering to the packaging commonly found around models when you buy an unboxed one off ebay, technically "loosefill peanuts" (that would have confused you more), just lumps of foam like material, well they don't like Britains, or the other way around
  11. Be aware that the reaction can happen if the tyres of Britains come into contact with certain types of polystrene packaging, the polystrene "melts" onto the wheel (I guess its like wheel melt, only external), I found this out by leaving a forage harvester in a box from ebay too long (its ok now though)
  12. sounds good Bill this may be a silly question, but how familiar are you with the older Britains models? the old Britains loader was great in its time, a similar interchangable system would be great to see.
  13. Ploughmaster, I have to say thankyou for sharing your infomation with us, I've learnt a lot these last few posts, I hope it continues !!
  14. that sounds like the ones I've seen and I guess there are some decal changes as well. Wonder which is rarer, or does it not matter?
  15. Very good point, and i think it may be wise to say, if you have asked it on TTTs, don't ask it again!
  16. Yeah looks excellent If I was to suggest a model, it'd be a decent roller
  17. I would like to see those as well, I don't supose any are lorry mounted?
  18. Imagine how many of those lttle green ploughs you would need! That plough is made from siku parts (shame, i had a load of those for sale a while back ) , I think the Britains shares are also too small
  19. Great pics, had no idea those machines existed. I must say there probably would not be much demand for that model down my way though but I'd probably buy one to use for the bedding

    Claas Lexion

Why 1/20? thats just going to confuse the kids, last thing this world needs is another scale
  21. Last one, added about 20mm to the length and dropped the rear end about 13mm relative to the bonnet
