  1. Yeah I thought you'd want to get a bit of kip in with those early starts. How do you keep warm at this time of year?
  2. Helped clear out the old bathroom and load it on the pickup; took several water meter readings for 7 Trent (first one didn't make sense, turned out to be upside-down. Doh); felled a small 5-metre cupressus for a neighbour.
  3. Afraid I don't know enough about the brand, but I'm not familiar with those designations. Perhaps there was too much competition by other manufacturers in that hp bracket at the time? (if I'm understanding the numbering right)
  4. Like, oh very much like. Decals look perfect to me. Is your next MH going to be bigger, say a 141 or even a 171?
  5. Stunning! Looks just the part in front of that swan-necked dumper . Are you going to do the dirty Lee or keep her as good as?
  6. This has been on my Xmas want list for some years. His Farm Machinery series is excellent and informative.
  7. Nice snaps Ol, probably pretty boring work though? I've been backfilling and cementing some poorly fitted pipes that weren't tightened or pressure tested.
  8. Sjonnie's set up is really mind-blowing, despite some of the machinery looking unfamiliar to me. I've never seen a 1:32 display so consistently detailed and your photos do them great justice Tris. In another life I will have this man's talent (and a lot more money to have the opportunity)!
  9. Found a sparrow nest in my mate's manure spreader. It is old and hardly used though
  10. Britains new round bale wrapper (42882) and JD 990 round baler. I like the new warning decals on the wrapper but it's a shame it's unbranded. Another small change to the mid-90s versions is the position of the platform tipping ram, on the latest version sitting below rather than above the axle. The baler is huge, larger than it looked in the photos (to my eyes), although the new round bales are around 2/3 the size of the old type. One of the few tractors big enough to pull it in my current collection is a Deere 7930 (and they make a good pairing).
  11. Forgive and forget Andrew, I think the entire management must have passed away by now, or they're octogenarians!
  12. Any difficulty pulling those 10/12 tonne tippers with the old Browns Neils, particularly when full of potatoes? (sorry if I have asked this before but it amazes me that you still use David Browns as your frontline tractors!)
  13. Look out for nice dark bitters like Lech and Tyskie. And if Krakow is anything like Warszawa, you'll find calling cards littering the streets. Polish women are very pretty mind you.
  14. Ah thought so. Just down the A35 from Cockleford where I worked for JA Rook farms a year ago. Never been to Colesbourne Inn though.
  15. Yikes, saw this at £300 not so long ago Must have gathered bids like a snowball gathering snow..
  16. I think so Bill, I've been doing a lot of hedge cutting fairly recently. My back usually complains either during or right after the task, this time it's only just surfaced, starting with a sore neck and shoulder then spreading down my back.
  17. I have a couple to add, if only I could find them now that Photobucket has made it damn near impossible to view old photos (why meddle with a successful format? )
  18. Loving this topic. Just a stunning rebuild and fascinating to see some of the process involved.
