  1. That does it, I've got to have me one of those George Poole constructions come October!
  2. Deere 6800 with old JCB Loadall on his transporter (seen at start + end of day); New Massey with powerharrow.
  3. Ahh! Today i did my first 'useful' tractor work, chain harrowing with IH 784 and Parmiter 4m harrow (though not exciting by theb standards around here). Also constructing rudimentary head locking device for difficult ewes
  4. Blue 1973 silage tipper in vgc; 2 shop display signs (make-up trees, cattle shed + bungalow)
  5. Looks like one of the larger Kubotas
  6. Is a cleaner normally sufficient to remove dirt/rust/ fuel lacquers? Maybe not enough additives in the diesel \
  7. I see you're using one of Fendthead's 'weathered' Fendts! Our grass is taking so long to grow it looks like the cows will be in the shed good while yet.If only it would rain at night and blaze in the day
  8. Lambing! My first. Alas the one I saw pop out seems to be getting rejected by his mum, so I put them both in an adoption pen where we may have to extract the milk.
  9. Whacked my car in a clumsy bit of reversing, the bodywork all bent around front indicator making the whole fitting pop out like a bulging eye. Oh well MOT and service tomorrow..
  10. stunning weather again in Gloucestershire
  11. ahh this brings back memories from the summer of 04 i was laying turf for a new development in South Cerney in Cirencester, it was so hot that summer that as soon as the turf was laid we needed a manitou to scoop water from a nearby lake and pour it on top every 30 minutes or so
  12. Muddy Massey 699 pulling a Moore Unidrill
  13. Stunning, I've just read through pages 1-50 and you are truly an inspiration sir! A few questions: What did you use for the unharvested maize plants on page 40 and before? Do you use real Iceland moss or the similar-looking synthetic stuff sold in model shops?, I can't find any growing near me! What material is the coloured ?air brake? cables on your blue Marston trailer? How did you obtain the little warning stickers you have on some machinery like the Smallfords planter? Many thanks, and keep up the good work!
  14. Near perfect Sean , but am I alone in thinking the sissal straw stalks are a shade too pale?
  15. I missed a step in the barn yesterday and fell flat on my face, lucky no-one around to witness it. Thing is I had gone to Specsavers earlier in that day for an eye test...
  16. Ah thanks found it with Street View, in the corner where the a361 and a38 diverge, but obviously not there when the google car passed, so i'm having a nose at the Massey dealers instead (where Deutz tractors, Merlot were once sold?)
  17. "Next month we look at other versions of this great model".. Will this cover things like the MF20 industrial, crawlers & vineyard machines?
  18. And not forgetting your smart little series on the MF135 for Tractor & Machinery
  19. The 135 and Ford 3000 were the big competitors on release in 71/72 apparently; there's an excellent little article/buyer's guide on the 885 in this month's Tractor & Machinery.
  20. Yesterday a JD 6630 Premium arrived at the farm with a Browns folding grass harrow, all sparkling and new which put our dirty old machinery to shame!
