  1. shed & barn's & looking very tidy , nice 2140 as well ,a friend had a 2wd , was great on top dressing , chain harrowing & rolling, even the 12 tonne ex lorry body trailer full of grain didn't cause it to falter even though it had already killed off an unsuspecting ford 6600 & a 590 \
  2. no sean they just rust quicker ;D nice pictures noel , is that a private collection? , how many have had to be rebuilt & how many would you say are genuinely original ? thanks for the pictures
  3. thanks mark , now i've found 2 we can have one each !
  4. interesting MF 19 spreader info mark , i assume they were american versions as the rated capacity is in bushels ! which i thought would only apply on combines & grain trailers
  5. nice 565 still working along with a very very tidy 675 not many about but some still get spotted , a 399 now the next tractor really did take my eye as soon as i saw the number plate. It's an E registered LP cabbed Ford 7610 4wd which i used to drive back in 1987 i was 17 ! When i had it it only had 150 hours on the clock & i used a ransomes TSR 4 furrow reversable on it as well as a cheap nasty 2 metre combination drill. When the farmer died in 89 it was sold to someone near beaminster , turns out it went to the Westbay area on boat duty & was there till 4 weeks ago ! A loader has been added as as another 5000 hours , but considering it's age & sea water , it's very tidy. farmer currently runs a 6610 on a slurry pump , but wants something with a bit more puff so thats where the 76 is headed never thought i'd see this again , if it wasn't for a keen rep trying to clear old stock i'd never of had this Bl00dY tractor , i'd of had a brand new 7610 SQ
  6. been out & about as usual , but not been posting first off a handy little DB990 although little used nowadays grubby looking 7610, a hosepipe wouldn't go amis cant remember if i've posted this tractor before but it's worth a second apearance , a very tidy 956XL well worn & singed for 4600 another of Barbers farms 135 scraper tractors , number 2 i suspect another nice find , this is the second 20D i have found on scraper duties
  7. i like that a lot paul , really nice , is it for sale ? if so how much ?
  8. especially if you put it under 'John Deere' & tractors / agricultural
  9. ................................... ? what i meant to say was ....bluh................phooooo................... i want ,i want, i want ;D stunning collection johny just need to get some big wide doors at the front of your living room to get sandy in to complete the collection ! marky might have some serviceable 1/16 yellow 35's left , or maybe enough slight damages to build a good one
  10. blimey mart you been there 4 years ! thats gone very fast like thew combi-drill looks a tidy peice of equipment ,do you know how old is it & what sort of acreage has it covered ? ufortunately i havent done as much drilling as i'd of like as was always on the plough , but it looks a easy enough tool to use , will look forward to the pics when it's up & running , the front tank & pump looks handy as well . havent seen the 1080 polished up for local shows mart , you run out of T cut or something ? neither have we seen any action from the 698 ? come on mart, have a word with yourself
  11. well they say life begins at 40 well i'm now 41 & havent slept a wink due to my re-occuring back problem , my elbow has all but seized uo which is giving me no end of grief & my fingers don't seem to want to work without much effort , so i'm amazed the likes of marky & barry actually move at all ;D life begins at 40 ? well it's not going quite so well as i expected ;D as far as i'm concerned ford white will always be grey

    At work with Gav

lets hope you got the right tool for the job gav , but to be perfectly honest i think your opinion on the future tractor was how much room for buster there was , not fussed over oil capacity or hydraulic lift blah blah , bottom line will buster be happy ? pics please .............................................buster not the tractor
  13. sorry tris never really taken much notice of scrap metal \ ;D as far as i was concerned ford's white has always been called 'ford grey' just like david brown orange was called 'power red' my working era was all 10 series fords & 5/2/3/600 /2000 /3000series MF, the late 40 series & 6100 series were about but sort of passed me by ! what i called modern are now deemed as classics to put it into context for myself , i had a brand new JD 7710 when they first came out in 97 that 14 years ago :of
  14. you got too many fingers on the hand you use for counting dave ? i make that 6 think mine will have to be the MF590/595 Ford 5000/6600 MF760 combine MF30 drill 3 furrow rev plough
  15. thats what he just said i didn't know they went bianca white ? i've always called it ford grey \
  16. oh yes if you decide to put lectrickery in make sure it's well earthed
  17. nice buy mark , i'd suggest you get it boarded out & vented though mate , as the condensation from those metal boxes turn things rather manky in a very short space of time indeed bbc 4 had a programme about shipping containers , it was called 'the box that changed britain' unfortunately it's not available to watch on i player now very very interesting
  18. nice tractor johny , really nice , i have done many hours on the 600's got to say the 699 was the best but i did have an obsession for the 698T, espesially for hedge trimming , sounded lovely & the same wheel base as the 690 made it a very handy tractor indeed ,
  19. and for any eco warriors who might be reading this , organic farms are the worst offenders
  20. why you cheeky ? i havent had my booster seat for years ................tris hasn't given it back when farmers give us bulk delivery drivers the same nice clean concrete to stand on like milk drivers do then & just then i might , but if you saw the cr^p & $h1( we sometimes have to put our pipes down into & walk in, then trapse it back into the cab , just for farmers to worry about desease precaution when they've sometimes got no one to blame except themselves i might settler for the cloth seats , but seriously sean , if you saw some of the $h19 hole farms i deliver to seriously you'd never drink milk again
  21. yes feed costs are up . how do you expect me to get a new lorry if the prices don't go up , a few £ more would be nice as i'd then get a leather interior ;D seriously the price is increasing , the straights market is quite pricey & with some comodity's being in short supply especially as Argentina has dramaticly cut their exports on soya to ramp their domestic price up & brazil cant just fill the gap that quickly. i do see more mill n mix lorries about but the farmer still has to pay for the raw material to be added to his home grown barley/oats or wheat , MVF are really pushing their blended products at the moment , but because of the straights prices it's now proving to be as expensive as a nut / pellet / roll product . some farmers have stopped their dairy fed ration altogether & prefer to up the forage fed requirements with minerals & a smaller ammount of nuts being mixed in with it . only one farm this year have i seen fodder beet as well , that was up near Cardigan although i dont know if that was home grown or bought in
  22. a couple of nice buy's you have ted , can't condone the buying of the ford but each to their own i suppose ;D not sure about the FW hitch but as far as i can remember the 1505 is just a decorative hitch & the drawbar is just a hole for ertl equipment to be hooked up to , there are a few people here that have fitted siku linkage & hitches to the 1505 to make it compatible with implements
