  1. nice pics mark , you say new rims but it looks like a complete new wheel to me ? lloks funny from a time when grey fergies /35/& 135 would be the farms main tractor , compared to the new flagship ! in a space of what 58 years from the launch of the first grey fergie ?
  2. will be easier still if you keep the original axle
  3. too right dan , if he can build for the clip n fit market for readily available chassis' then the options really are endless . i think the next purchase for me will be the 3000 series kit be rude not to . also with a bit of trimming here & there the 600 kit could be adapted to any of the range for any chassis
  4. paul has built the kit for the front axle to stay as it is if you so wish but i wanted to use a proper steering axle so more modifications have to be made , the first step included breaking my original 699 :'( :'( :'( darn you capon :'( because of the way the siku 5455 axle is tooled a recess had to be filed down where the old britains axle pin went the reason for this is there are two little pin lugs cast into the siku axle & will need them to allow the 699 axle to have latteral movement once filed down to the depth i wanted i drilled holes from the front of the axle casting for the axle pins slightly splay the casting apart to let axle drop intp place ,unfortunately the bonnet bottom pannels also has to be filed into to allow the fitting of this axle , if it works right then the steering bar on the axle will be cut to incorperate the 2680 steering wheel bar so it will retain steering from the cab this is how she looks so far , i'll post more up as & when things are done thee front weight block will be fixed back when time allows
  5. well a couple of years ago i stunned the conversion world with my MF 699 conversion :o well when i say stunned it created a mild intrest \ but now captain capon has released a 699kit i knew i should have got the parts cast well here goes took a bit of finding amongst the parts but but found my donor tractor a 2680 chassis bar type axle first job was to remove & save front weights then cut down where the slant is i next cleaned the parts from excess resin & placed onto chassis for a better idea of what's going on cab doesn't quite sit down onto floorpan so as instructed by paul a cut had to be made in front of the dash area approx where an indentation is for the old 2000 series cab cab now sit comfortably on floorpan a bit more cutting was needed to fit the bonnet , i left excess metal work in place as it's easier to cut more off than try to add it back on ! excess removed & now the bonnet sits right
  6. nice pics mart , that dryers a fair size mate , what capacity is that & whats the expected throughput per hour selling the 520 & 525 , MARKY get yer wallet out , thses two should be restored to summer show demonstrators , not enough of these machines are preserved
  7. sorry jo got to caption this Andy ; i'll start off with Thin Lizzy's 'boys are back in town'................ Gav ; i'll then come in with a bit of Motorheads 'ace of spades' ................. Sean thinking ; i wish i could remember the words to i'm a little tea pot ............
  8. lovely pictures jo , & your camera makes me look much thinner than markys, if that is really at all possible \ :D well i mean damien, tris & i look positively angelic , as for the others well bit of a motley crew arnt they , have a few people missing though ? no pics of crazy kev or auntie jo i cant believe you're both shy !
  9. marky i must complain about the picture of stir fry & myself, we are not ,for your information standing in hole we were in fact stood on chairs , & i would also like you to post the original picture of us & not that photoshopped effort which enlarges my stomach somewhat , & if thats not the photoshopped one, then thats when i was doing my 'pre supafit udimore impression' [ awww really ? again ? aftar all the time i've taken to build a trailed forager you want potatoes ? funnily enough graham , i was thinking of finding out a cheap harvester to 'get sorted'maybe for next year graham,graham,graham....what can i say , yet another meticulous masterclass on farm modeling a few of us did say , that taking nothing away from other exibitors ,if it wern't for you we suspect there'd be a few displays less than what what there were , as quite a few were sporting 'Graham Fabrication Limited' buildings , well done chap , i still cant believe how un-stressed out sharon still looks , she even still has all her own hair & finger nails , ohh the patience of the woman ! must add that dans table was vey well kitted out with some stunning trailers , any wonder why they're a must have for people's collections , some stunning machinery in his local photographs that were framed as well all looked very professional
  10. great pics mark , got some fantastic displays from some great builders
  11. a britains yellow front loader bucket with a tooth missing a wrecked NH TS chassis a 699 kit from pdc :) although this may mean i have to break my original 699 conversion to use the floorpan & cab for a 675 :'(
  12. great pictures as per mark , looks a lot bigger in the photo's i must say but you seem to have taken some of things i obviously missed on the day ! spalding vs. toytrac ? each have their place but i feel toytrac is a much more sociable event compared to spaldings all bussiness like feel. all the dealers have time to talk to you & i think the pictures reflect the easy going nature of the show thanks mark
  13. i have to say seroiusly detailed , but i cant make up my mind if the rear linkage works in it's favour or not ? the useability for play/display land is great but cant help but think the 'real deal' backend would have been a better option for shelf display , from what steve was saying almost everything that can be interchanged with can be, maybe the playtype linkage could have been built to be changed with more life like linkage detail for shelf display only owners. other than that i cant fault it , oh yeah appart from it should have been the MF 600 series :'( marky give china a call...................................
  14. some nice shots there murray , looks quite bright , but i dare say there was a nip in the air !
  15. trouble with these machines is that they really do only appeal to specific buyers , i think udimore looked into having these built , but i think the interest vs. ammount didn't add up financialy
  16. No mate it didn't there are a number of reasons the silage comp doesn't quite draw the attraction it should. Moderators are constantly juggling members request's for compititions such as these the main problems we have are as follows ; Many members want it held during the silage season itself which is understandable as it's usually all kicking off & flat out all around them but some members who would like to enter are actually out there doing it for real anyway , & just don't have the time so the proposal of holding it out of season is forwarded , but then it clashes with other members harvest times so those members are out doing the real thing & they don't have the time to display either. The most annoying issue we have is the regularity of many members who campaign for harvest comps never actually enter them so you see the mods are constantly juggling members requests , & sitting on the admin side of the table it's not always fun trying to please everyone, simply because we cant . so the bottom line is no the comp wasn't forgotten about, many members wanted it but few actually entered it .
  17. oops , oh yeah , brilliant to see so many ftf members attending , good to see you all
  18. it may come as a surprise to some but i'm not the greatest ford fan , but seriously chaps these tractors are outragously detailed to the extreme , & think it was the reason steve was looking for peoples thought on likes & dislike to the models they buy top marks steve on a seriously good tractor
  19. well lets put it this way , tris saw then & ordered 4, 2wd SL, 4wd SL . 2wd SLE & a 4wdSLE
  20. welcome to FTF ronnie , very much looking forward to seeing some pictures of your models
  21. hello paul ! my name is marcus how do you do :D
