MF 700 silage and grain trailers
MJB1 replied to Fenside MF's topic in Latest Implement Conversions & Scratch Builds
have to say thats a good build mate & those trailer chassis are weak , so probably best you rebuilt it ! wheels also look good , although they do look awfully small on the trailer -
tris used to work on a farm that was so posh , they even peeled the spuds before feeding the cows :D
-
brilliant :) what flavor were they ?
-
thing is you got to have nearly as much money to do 1/87 as 1/32 ! looking great richie. probably won't mean much to some , but wondering if the scania & trailer looked a little like AW Jenkinson (forest products) whats think tris ?

ah but isn't there two 'ford tractor blues' by right Nigel ? being the big ford -new holland fan i am ...............................ahem \ i have read (& this was in fords own litter tray literature at the time) the shade of ford tractor blue was darkened when the SQ cab tractors were released so a colour match had to be made by year of release to get the right shade ,as pre SQ cabbed tractors are a much lighter colour ford tractor blue. mind you i have also witnessed a right royal barney at a NH dealer between a customer wanting a refund over the wheel paint he'd bought , farmer ; my tractor has white wheels dealer ; yes.......... farmer ; well i want the right tin dealer ; yes.......... farmer ; well get me one then dealer ; you already have a tin sir farmer ; no my wheels are white , it says grey on the tin dealer ; yes......... farmer ; got to say there were a lot of from the farmer & even more from the dealer :D

not seen a rotational one before so will be interesting to see . does the end have a slide hatch to be opened / shut off as you want it or does it just stay tipped the opposite end till needed ? since my toe-tip effort i've been thinking about an auger bucket for a while now although , i wanted to have a sectional blade auger to chop fodderbeet or mix a feed potatos-silage mix as it feeds

good job me & marky arn't about the 675 & 698 would never get cold ! & the doors would be locked ...................................from the inside :D great pics as usual mart.
-
got to say she looks a hellish tool , the only 2wd DX tractors i get to see back here is the occassional 4.50 & they punch well above their weight as well !

MJB1 replied to An Interested Spectator's topic in Latest Tractor Conversions & Scratch Builds
very nice , does the floorpan fit easily ? might give one a go one day -
not seen the ROS 1014 but i know the ROS hurliman & landini are fitted with MF600 type floorpan & cabs
-
you're getting far too much kit to play with mart new trailers , post knockers , mini digers about 3 loaders of sorts & 25 tractors , as an old one always seems to be hiding in one shed or another really mart after harvest when it goes quiet promise us you'll tidy the 698 up
-
blimey much closer & we'd have walked into each other you got a pic of ivor on his own on the deere , i turned up just as he was letting his friend have go, your pic can only have been a few minutes before i took mine ! as you looked at the ploughing field from the showground , the horses were in the field to the right the combines & threshers were over to the left , past the main ring , then past the landrovers, past the steamsaws & loggers , then into the next field . if you got any more pics please post them up
-
tidy plough gav & tipping the scales at 2T approx it doesn't sound over heavy what would be the weight with solid boards ? looks like you're getting a good tilth as well & thats before the press ! is all your ground like that , or will the press come into it's own on other ground you have . like the plough gav , i don't think buster really cares but as long as you're there i spose he's happy with it too

over to the little MF31 first then over to the bigger 400. second load was done on the move for the camera's third load was a bit showy, 400 unloading into the 31 unloading into the trailer up at dillingtons grain store

as shown in another topic i went to the yesterdays farming event & i took a few pics wityh the camera , but i also took a few on my phone so i thought i'd post the phone pics here got the tractor out on the friday to put the side battery pannel on amongst a few other things , bit of grease & a good wipe over with some WD40 which gives it a bit of protection & to redden up the paint ! then we got the safety frame back on saturday morning parked up at the show took me approx 40-45 mins traveling to get there once talked into half volunteered to towing trailers i was told to collect this trailer from the thresher
-
NZ ? fair old trek that is didn't meet him as people were coming & going all the time , even if it was raining the atmosphere is still good, last few years i went it rained but haven't been the last two shows ,always a good turnout though . i think dillington might be holding it next year as well
-
last few now one of the threshing units they were using a ford 4610 to run an international baler but had an MF one the day before 400 unloading it's last tank as is the 31 off i go with my 4th & last load of the season
-
well i also went round the ring again following a very smart ford supermajor /5000 ? & ransomes plough followed by a few old deeres woodwork

sorry peter , severe lack of volvo's mate , matter of fact there were quite a few classics missing from the day, apart from my 168 there was only one other 8 series massey a 148, 1 590 no 240's lots of red DB's but little in the way of white ones i think ford , massey & DB were well represented otherwise .
