  1. funny enough peter i thought steve & karen had a selection of wheels but cant seem to find them on their site AH HA found what i was looking for & here chap try gav836 on his site , he's a top fella http://www.1-32farmimplements.com/resinwheels.htm
  2. bit red for you isn't it ! thought a 5000 would have been order of the day ! still looks good though & like the plough
  3. think my road is the harvest express highway , got all manor of everything up & down this road , from fastracks with richard weston trailers , little deutz, NH , MF ford & mccormick loader tractors with loads of bales on , new combines , old combines the claas ones yesterday & the tx 34 ? from down the road , oh yes it all passes here
  4. blimey thats some good going on those combines, bit more than i'd like to try , the only thing i've added to my CX880 is fingerprints when it ONCE came out of the box, lord only knows why i bought it in the first place
  5. well appart from the ding on the header , that 2256 looks an exceptionaly tdy machine , they must polish it the start of season to help keep the black dust from sticking ! as for the big NH , am i the only one who thinks the cab roof looks odd, looks like some thing from a sci-fi film the old timer looks just as happy there dowdling along at it's own pace
  6. looks like me & tris are the only people who havent visited john , will have to rectify that soon mate
  7. i spose i have to agree with you there mate the smaller 50 models up to the 2850 somehow looked too small to have the horse power they were rated at but they pulled well , but as for the 4055 i think that was a great tractor, big & purposefull, when i drove one it was the biggest tractor in the area not just horse power ! milton mills dealers had to let the tyres down to get it into their workshops :D & the 18 speed powershift was so easy to use ,matter of fact there wasnt much it wouldn't pull , but you tell it's age was against it when the jd 64 was bought in as a replacement the plough lost a furrow , but other machines stayed the same , the 64 did it all , took a bit longer to do but it did it . i'll have that fiver now please jez :D :D
  8. so what era would this have come from ? 1970's & when was the green introduced ? as said the only ones of these 800's i ve seen were in a company livery , having said that i think my old neighbour had a green one on a B plate & dillington estate had one for years for the demount sprayer & that was a 1000
  9. like that paul , especially the rear wheels , or maybe the fronts looks about right mate , farmer near frome bought 2 800's & they were in a really rough state in a northern water authorities livery , they were on smaller wheels , looked quite odd at first , especially when compared to the 1000 / 1500 on wide tyres
  10. knew i could count on you i've seen the archive & was very interesting knew i wasn't going daft :D
  11. JUST TO MAKE THINGS CLEAR YOU ARE ALLOWED 8 PICS PER POST FOR THIS COMPITITION ALTHOUGH IN OTHER TOPICS THE 6 PICS PER POST STILL APPLIES ! good question actually ! if you use photobucket / imageshack or other picture hosting sites then the normal copy & paste for the links will all go into one post , however if you use the forum picture posting system & you manage to get 4 pics up then someone decides to post theirs , you will be left with a two part silage entry , in this eventuality, contact ben as i don't know what happens then :D \
  12. as well as the siku gigant there is also the centaur 600 the britains simba 300 or you could do as other members here did & create their own http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=12950.0 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=13824.0 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=7776.0 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=8080.0 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=4551.0 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=7984.0 or if yer really brave scratch build yer own http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=19316.0 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=21637.0
  13. thanks for those mate , got primarily class & NH & deere round here but there are a smattering of massey combines about , but very rarely see them as they are off the beaten track, even a few dronemberg type & even a few in dronemberg colours !
  14. this is coming along very nicely indeed
  15. the david brown 1690 /case 1594-1694 case-ih 1594-1694 1594 95hp approx 1694 98hp approx even DB have said themselves the engine could be powered up to 140hp+ but would be in direct compitition with the american case 2090/2094 - 2290-2294 built tractors shame as iv'e driven a few of these uprated 15 -1694 tractors & feel like they should have been powered like this from the start
  16. going back to the start of the thread , lets not forget that apart from the select o speed ford had, david brown had devised an autobox for the red implematic tractors before long before hydra-shift was was released . unfortunately like the select-o speed it didn't sell very well , matter of fact i'm not overly sure it made it to release ! any help on this please will ,bill ?
  17. ah that must have been behind your fisher price activity center that was labeled spares or repair :D everything going ok with you mate , busy at home & work i bet !
  18. did you ever find a scraper for this little chap kev , or is the tractor on other duties now ?
  19. blimey you really are suffering arn't you kev ?
  20. what he's trying to say ladies & gents is that all his farm stuff is packed away as he's moving , the problem is traci needed to store some of her stuff somewhere & leveretts granery barn has been comandeered, & like all old barns nowadays is full of woman stuff as the cuboards at home just arnt big enough that & barbies VW convertable is striped down for repairs i suspect :D
  21. you sure you got the right field kev ? :D ah i bet he doesn't even remember you turning down the trailer work kev , i dare say your favourite deutz will be available to haul with
  22. as much as tris loves leverets mate i think it's not at the top of priorities at the moment
  23. more to come later on this week ? what ? you cant do that to us johny \ thats not fair thats not :( well considering it's only our first instalment ,thats not a bad selection at all , like seeing the halftrac versions of the TE? 20 & FE 35ind & the 165 4wd looks well kept even though i'm not a fan of the look of the fritzmeyer cabs . looks to be a gathering of heavies behind the FE 35ind though mate, a few articulators & an 1135 / 1150 at least & nice to see the the 590 , 3065E & 8220 got some old combines in good condition also johny so looking forward to the pics mate marky , when are you organising a massey day ?
  24. never driven a select o speed although i did come close one day but the david brown hydra-shift was a great gearbox & if used right , would give no problems , biggest problem was the cable would stretch , but was sorted when a bar linkage was fitted on the 94 series. not the greatest tractor for loader work though from what other operators have told me about the s-o-s was to anticipate the changes not just sit & wait for them to come , then when changing up quickly flick past the gear you need then back into the gear you want , sounds strange to me but thats ford for you, glad i didn't get the drive on that 5000 that day !
  25. at last she might get run in now or at the end of the hire period get sold to bromide evans to be sold as a set with your beloved 410
