  1. good point nigel , but in effect the cab has to go back on as unless it was sold as an export model , the 168 wasn't sold cabless in the uk . i know all about people wanting to leave the cab of as it then fits in a garage , that only makes sence , but it's a shame to see them with out .
  2. will do one day mate but will have to wait till the other bits are done . else it'll ahve to all come off again \
  3. um ? the parlour is with the 165 ,the 362 with the handler , the 698T with the 390T, the 2640 with the 6270 & the new ones at bigwood & partners no but we are probably the only monster i'm not afraid of mate one of the doors is off as well !
  4. hang on mate will reply in a minute as just bidding on a crosstrainer
  5. nice work paul , there's a considerable difference between the siku cab & britains cab no wonder the siku didn't lend itself to reverse drive ! the bigger wheels & tyres suit it no end but i wonder how much manuveability it's lost, blimey i'm making it sound like a real one \
  6. clean 6270 happy chappie 362 the lady's a plodder 2640 a few newbies at the local dealer 7480, 6495 & 6480 another 7480 & left the beast till last the awsome 8690 i would love to know who's getting this
  7. been having a pretty ferguson couple of weeks so far , but thought i'd start with a 16/32parlour thats being resurected after 4 years out of action just waiting for some cows to have something to do, a patient 165 a peach of a tractor a 698T the ever popular 390T a rare sight out & about a massey handler 89??
  8. ooh lots of bits can the seat & controls be made to turn like the britains one ?
  9. i think most scratch builders here find working with plastics a bit more flexible than wood
  10. really why ? they look fine & back in the day fendt did offer saddle tanks for their tractors that were slung beneath transmission under the cab, ok not many were fitted out with them , but contractors used to have them fitted , a contractor near frome used to have a 614 with them & another with a 309 & 311 up round tewksbury area had them fitted of course you will be spraying the cab ?
  11. i don't quite know why i would sound surprised when i see you do this type of thing , but it's coming along rather well, matter of fact i'd say it's going to look better than the 312 anyway top job !
  12. hmm massive HQ needed to highlight the things that was quite obvious in your disclosure of you thoughts & uses to this little red tractor & it seems to read that it's all about you ! well here's the news kev , it's not ! it really isn't, it should be all about penny & we've struggled to keep this news away from her while she sits up the farm in the shed wondering what she's done wrong that 'that nice man mr kev' doesn't want to visit her any more got to admit old boy , since you drove that big deere ploughing a while back , you've gotten more distant from the massey crowd :'( :'( :'( hope it goes well in hospital for you mate & that you recover quick enough to get back up there & give it a good run
  13. good going rich , how long will it be before you have tris itching to get back to leverets then i wonder ? :D the filler looks well mate , but wondering if like tris said to score it & seal it with a pva mix , i think thats maybe why the cracks have apeared , the mdf has sucked the moisture from the filler , have to carefull it doesn't slide off the shed in one big slab
  14. any thing new happening kev ? no hay turning , not even a quick blast up the road ? something that interests me mate along with others here that own a tractor but arn't farm related ; getting a tractor fulfilled a want that most of us have . but do you sometimes look at it & think 'i havent got a clue what to do with it now !'
  15. is there a VIN plate on the dash just above the steering column johny ? or on the casting just inside the grill ? i have a plate just above the steering column that has stamped 168 252399 B F G H P if so send the details to marky as he can find out a bit more for you , was interesting what he found out about mine i know 168 is the model number & that 252399 is the build number but didn't know what the letters denoted to what specification it was built to
  16. martin yer spoilt i'd ahve thought you'd have argued to have either the 675 or better still the 698 out there with the haybob stretching their legs & having a good blow through to be honest mart i'm a little dissapointed you chose the bigger machines :'( :'( :'( :'(
  17. looking good as always johny looks strange to see the euro spec backend as opposed to what i'm used to seeing on the uk spec versions. cant help but think an auto hitch would look good but you dont have the need for one ! lighter link arms than mine has & no toolboxes built into the rear fenders , & still wonder why the pre cleaner comes up through the bonnet as the UK spec machines are under the bonnet still a good looking tractor , maybe a set of wider fronts to go with the awsome looking rears :)
  18. thats right nigel stick the boot in, what do the french know :D i think both models do justice to the real thing within reason on UH behalf ! although i do like the look of the scaledown but although they both represent a 5000 they do look like two different tractors if that makes sense ?
  19. think it may have been scraped due to the farm waste scheme :D yes what happened to this tractor simon ?
  20. saw this in the latest CT , looks promising although not quite open for business just yet somehow don't quite know what the main attraction will be for you chaps though , the tractor or the lady re-building them :D www.reborntractor.net
  21. what even mr pullen after trying to kill frankie last april very nice mark , i bet that front suspension makes a marked difference in ride from the 5445 with the baler , the longer wheelbase will also help no doubt & after so many years of black it feels almost comforting to see a grey chassis again , old school like masseys should be
  22. when i was looking at it , it did all look pretty fammiliar & i did wonder if it may have been a stripped back 590, as the wheel base is awfully long but didn't say just in case i was wrong \
  23. both seem to be in fair shape mark , the wife's holding up pretty well an all considering she's has you to keep a constant eye on To be able to take that picture you must have been let off your reigns for 5 minutes as you'd been a good boy :D I can see that around a show ground , poor diane pulling back hard on the kiddie walker reigns as you pull along panting & screaming with excitement , with her shouting calm down mark , don't touch that & no more sweets for you
