Reminder - Coldridge Collection open day tomorrow peeps :-*
MJB1 replied to Lord Ferguson's topic in Events and Shows
got to admit the bl00dy thing flies , i thought the needle moving fast on the dash was the rev counter , but mark said it was the fuel gauge :D \ -
was more concerned weith the loader creaping down onto the canopy :D
-
they may have seemed primative sean , but you'd be surprised how much hidden goodies as standard were on them got a fairly steepish drive way there paul & got to admit the landy sounded nice growling away at the slope climbing out , as for stopping , unlike up round your way , it's unlikely he'd get faster than 25 mph back to his yard before another hill killed his progress
-
not be long till the cornish are on they're earlies sean
-
quite decieving isn't it , i suppose compared to modern tractors the 100 series tractors are small , isn't till you sit on it that it becomes a large machine again , bit like marks 240 it's a small tractor because it really is a small tractor the mid power oldies are usually a bit inbetween , not big enoung to be BIG but too big to be small....................... i'll join you nick i'll just get my coat ............................
-
good going nick , bit older than the era i'd usually take nitice of , it does look a good buy , just a tidy & repair , of going to go for the rebuild ?
-
i've had a drive around on it sean , but bottom line is bill didn't buy it for me to drive :D that was the point of getting rid of the zetor , something a bit more manageable for him ! although i have to say i think i've driven it more than him already , i mean to say since last monday it's it's clock reads nearly 3.5 hrs , & it already had just over 3 when it was delivered :D
-
? not quite sure what you mean nick ? to me the 165/ 168 were always termed as big tractors , but not quite that big \
-
a couple of tidy masseys there paul , nice change to see a tractor & topper , instead of a front mount on the harvester
-

the zetor is tidy tris , on a C plate with about 6000+ hours on it although it had been touched up before he bought it about 6 years ago, but bills in his 80's & the zetor was getting too big & cumbersome for the jobs he needed for now , so a smaller more nimble machine would be the tool for the job . a quad bike was also considered but we couldn't get a loader to fit :D almost as mint as yer dads masseys infact ! there are indeed a large variety of chinese compacts on the market now, a siromer was looked at , but the use of hydraulic power for the steering & backend / loader applications from one pump restricted it's appeal ,the siromer's tin work also makes it look bigger than it actually is & looks somewhat awkward compared to this . well at least it was straps , i've also seen chains used over the transmission housing could tell the zetor was a fair weight as when it went up over the ramps the poor old landy's rear suspension reared right up was going to be a good workout for the 110 to get it back to their yard lets just hope it works as good as it looks
-
time to tie it down hmm maybe he should have turned on the grass before loading \ bye, bye but result a vacant space , thats too good to be left empty very next day bill was out with the polish , chap who sells them isn't over impressed with the chinese packing which unfortunately leaves scuff marks on the bodywork, the overall package seems good , but it's these small details that let it down
-
well as posted in what did you do today type topic i showed a landlegend that my partners father has looked into on a part ex for his zetor. well it he's only gone & done the deal & it turned up last monday in comes the landlegend so out comes the zetor
-
good looking 26 there bill , lets just hope you're mate only plans to take it no further than a few miles for recovery , else he may have to charge for a 3 day call out :D, good old busses really , low reving engine with loads of power to hand & bullet proof & with a decent winch on it , there isn't much it wont move bolted down or not i liked the later version better as the park brake was positioned as a ratchet bar under the dash console , leaving the space on the floor for a 3 level cantelever toolbox
-
i did wonder if benny's 3050a was a true representation of an actual tractor , i cant see siku making that big an error . the tractor in question would have been landini built so it may just be it's still out there
-
still no leaflet Luke but this mysterious tractor has made it's rounds here before ! maybe a few more clues yet to be found , have we no Euroland members that could find some info for us ? would imagine Germany / Italy would be the first place to look maybe drop a line to thomas or feli http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=5150.0

MJB1 replied to MODELFARMER's topic in Other Conversions & Scratch Builds
ah the good old jag 40 that would be then ! ah mf 500 ind , ongoing project is that \ -
you sure this is a working farm ? probably one of the heaviest crops i've seen this year great pics again chap , as said shame to see the other 300's go but sure sign of progress in the way of replacements. i supose the head mans tractor will be up within the next few years . got to admit whoever buys those ex larkton tractors must be well chuffed with the condition they're in
