  1. now i know mr udimore has double chins , but 4 bottoms ? has any thractor got that much strength :D
  2. Really ? i thought it was rather good , it's nice to see the toys i had & still have & know just a bit of background from them eg. i once had a 376 NH baler , but it now sports MF stickers , but have got a few wrecked 377's. it reminded me to sometimes leave things as they are i think the chances of finding another 376 are slim ! i too would like to see the moira pics , but i'm sure there are more here than what CT could publish, or is it that you think you might be able to see your mates ear just behind the 4th person to the right in one of the pics
  3. it is a 699 & i built it meself chap have a look here 699 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=18246.0 690 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=23301.0 698T http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=26222.0

    tim toys

i have one but haven't used it on a display, the drawbar isn't at the right height but with a bit of work it could be a really good model i think there was a section for tim toys , but like the demise of the maker so the section went too , shame as there were a few good pics of what was available
  5. ah but bill isn't having the 4 in 1. looks handy enough , but it's not like it's a jcb built thing tris , looked at it closely & recomended it was avoided , only want to grab something the wrong way with it & once the front bit is bent it's unuseable . not a siromer adam , but very similar , a siromer was disscussed , but were avoided because of some of the design, the landlegend has a separate oil resovour for the power steering, so you can operate the loader & steer at the same time , if you try to use the loader on the siromar, it'll use oil that should power the steering . some of the older SAME tractors were the same , when you tip a silage trailer full tip you had to keep turning the steering wheel from side to side to keep an oil flow there
  6. ha ! subscription got mine a few days back great read really liking the new ask the expert section , can see that turning into a four page section if not a magazine of it's own ! :D great stuff about the german massey collectors & the 10 things you didn't know about the 100 series masseys unless of course you happen to be marky of which you could be add another 10 things to not be that fussed about knowing about the 100 series masseys :D the magazine is so refreshed , even rory looks like he had his eyebrows plucked in his editors pic :D
  7. today I'll be helping clear a bit of room in mad's dad barn ready for a new arrival ! last Monday bill & i looked at part ex for his zetor 7245 & have settled on a new landlegend DF254. the main reason for this is that bill is finding the zetor too big & cumbersomefor the jobs he needs it for , main duties will be general maintenance on the smallholding he has , bit of fencing & dung work will also be part of the workload. Years ago he had a kabota & it was used fairly regularly , where as the zetor turns the smallest job into a national event to get things done ! Below are a few pics of a landlegend we looked at in the dealers yard tractor is a near full spec machine 25hp 4wd with twin double acting spools & suspension seat ,parallel linkage loader & 4 in 1 bucket , bill's will be the same spec tractor but in blue as red is no longer available & with standard loader & bucket.
  8. WHAT ! that jag i broke up was a MIB battery power & cost me £412 :o just for this conversion > :D :D too right ben , i can't afford to but new cougars or big M, or X's to break for parts so i've bide my time & took nearly a year to find a good broken jag 690 for parts
  9. thanks chaps , yeah it's abit too long , but was looking at adapting the original chute by making it slightly longer rather than cut this one down the colour is rover applejack from halfords sean , has come out a bit darker than i'd have liked & i even used white primer
  10. well i've had a NH baler pickup blu-tacked to my old britains forager since 1981 now & it's been repainted nearly every colour of the rainbow but i managed to collect a few jag 690 parts & as good as threw a trailed jag together
  11. certainly a lot of money to sit in a shed to do nothing with
  12. nice to see something a little different , nice job mate
  13. as per not quite finished yet , still need the right wheels , cropflow tines on the pickup & the pickup to be attatched
  14. a trailed claas forager pickups too wide for it but it'll do me
  15. nice updates sean , why buy in the new marstons from DAN dealers when you built yer own awhile back ? nice to see you finally have a finished 699, taken you nearly two years to get to one yer happy with , well done chap !
  16. funnily enough graham , unlike eastbourne i can do that run in my hours ! as long as i get a good early start to get the M25 clearedi can make good time . as for the post office ? not taken much notice but the pub down the road looks pleasant enough. got a JD handler about doing other jobs & just coming back to push it up every now & again
  17. well done chap , just adding wider tyres can transform these tractors no end , i sugest a twin axle tanker on lp tyres to compliment it
  18. rough is it graham ? does sharon know you know ? :D something you want to share with us steve ? :D ah deliver cattle cake to MB Farms at stockbury just down the road graham usually 6T of beef starter pellets, 6T of ewe rolls & 11T of beef nuts now then a couple of pics of a tractor with a seemingly legendary status from all members, me included ! JOHN DEERE 7810 & just for my indulgence a very original 168
  19. farm near me had a 410 & that went the same way shame really as the older dominators & claysons like the 4 & 500 series combines have a real character about them
  20. looks a good convo luke go on man build the lad one ,no need to be shy around us, your other convos turn out well enough
  21. by the looks of the said establishment ,wrestlers & clientele are probably as rough as the pub mate , so i'll not be popping in for a drink anythime soon well at least you cant say i don't post anything for the more special patientsmembers here.
  22. great pics again dan a quality outfit worth following , havent seen them on my travels this year but i'm going to keep an eye out for them
