  1. ahh i'm not putting myself down mate , i know my capabilities , & i think what i do is good , but i don't go to the lengths some of you chaps do with the cab detail, mirrors etc , it's the very small detail to me that creates the difference between a good conversion & a stunning conversion , but i'll take the praise deserved or not, after all you're all bonkers :D :D :D thanks rhys
  2. try finding a small spring stephen with some wire attatched to pull the spring back out , the spring should unravel itself free leaving the pipe without a kink. otherwise try some high tensile fencing wire & leave about 3mm from the top , that way you should get the bend , but at least show the hole for the top of the pipe , exhaust pipe i take it ?
  3. not aluminium mate gloss black with a curved top !
  4. looking forward to this being finished mattias , not a many of these to be seen about
  5. quality build again mattias but being a turbo should it not have a straight exhaust pipe? other than my memory it looks bob on mate
  6. thanks mate , few more years & i'll be almost your standard looks ok doesn't it , even if tris does have a point about the front wheels , ahh if anyone asks they're oversized tyres on small wheels ! as for the paint finish , i can't take credtir for that mate it's how it came out of the box , metal see , the plastic version doesn't shine really , a very dull finish
  7. hardly stunning pete , there are others here including yer self that do stunning conversions , me ? i do manageable ones
  8. well not like yer going to waste away is it mate not really mate but they are getting quite pricey
  9. i'll have to see what bit's i can get at spalding john
  10. i like it roll om spalding , just need another 6180 chassis & tims wheels as have a plastiv version 3070 waiting in the wings
  11. with floorpan & bonnet set in place , two lugs have been set in place where the seat will go seat in it shows it over the two lugs thus holding the floorpan in place
  12. sellotape to hand masking ready for paint the bits that are gray are gray & the bits than need to be black are painted black
  13. just like it grew there with a bit of filing to the floorpan allowing movement of the lift lever it sits just right building up the cab floor , the hole allows the original seat to be used
  14. after calming down & a chat with sean , a few options are banded about & the front wheels from an old 362 are found to do the job lots of dremmeling & sanding later the problem is sorted of a fashion wheels fitted , now ready for the bodywork to start
  15. first off, time to get the wheels to fit the britains chassis by hand drilling to accomadate the fixings unfortunatly due to the rear axle on the chassis & the way the tims wheels are moulded they dont fit so then ensues a frantic phone call to sean telling him it's all his fault & he owes me a britains 6140 a tims 4260 & a metal ros 3070
  16. well finally decided to build my 3070, with a good look at TM810's version from a few years back i set to it started with a BRITAINS 6140, TIMS 4260 & a metal version ROS 3070 now the work starts ! all broken down into parts
  17. the bonnet , & cab come from a model of a 399 that was built by an indian company i think , (could be wrong) & these models are quite rare to see for sale ,& as far as i can see the bonnet & cab has been grafted to a britains chassis. have alook see here at an original http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=6477.0
  18. shania ? ok so what you got a tractor that don't impress me much ! :D keep it simple mate after all the name will only be used by the forum anyway, you honestly think i actually call my tractor cherrycalypso no yer right i dont. like your 135 you like me & all the other red owners , apart from marky just call it 'the massey', or the 135 / 168 / 35 or even just the tractor
  19. another classic for the collection johny , well done mate
  20. interesting base tractor to use on this conversion jdm, why the 3680? would it not have been easier to have adapted the 615
  21. if it's red with MF on it somewhere you'll soon learn that for johny & lord ferguson , money isn't an issue, it's the model they have to have
