  1. all looking well pete , she's going to be a big girl when shes finished ! is this build for yourself or being built to for order ?
  2. yer machines are too big & new, the fields are too small & what you do have is seriously overgrazed, & the obvious fact is that your allegiance to Renault is a bit overwhelming . not basing your layout on a french farm are you gav :D
  3. you'll be thinking right mate , quite a rare machine back in the day , probably even rarer now ! good machine though , i did use one for a few days ,a demontration model , mate eventually bought a 610 also good forager , but really should have gone for the 30
  4. pile of crap get a leyland ? sorry mate we really dont need posts like that, constructive critisism welcome, but if thats the best you can do please don't post.
  5. hmmmm............too flat gav , c'mon mate get some hills in there , seeing as yer in flatland , do you want some pictures ?
  6. if it wasn't for the arms on this chair , i'd be on the floor fight now , quality conversion mate
  7. will it take the weight whats planned for today then gav , yard work , or field work . i spose the hardest thing about field work is the materials for the actual crops
  8. so the next guess would have to be rothmans , ashtray or even spudulika :D :D
  9. seeing as it's got a duncan cab on it , how about duncanette ? duncetta, dunce ? john ? dun ? du ? d ? betty? brad ? nope ,just not getting it it's all gone horribly wrong :'( :'( why name it ? it's a tractor ? if it wasn't for this lot mine wouldn't have a name it'd just be caled fergus ..................................oops \
  10. i dare say it would mate , matter of fact it would also look nice parked next to my 168 , but i don't think he's going to let this one go in a hurry, the only down side to the 699 is she doesn't like getting up on cold mornings & so it's been fitted with eather start, & just like easy start , she's addicted now
  11. ooh what a let down , you've gone to all that trouble to fit all the tools , & forgotten to give the place a new coat of paint well after all the hard work on the outside it was only a matter of time before you became fed up with it well used & wow , the whitewash is so real it's unreal :) :)
  12. ooooooo bit evasive on the biscuts there gav, touched a nerve there have we eh ? i used soil on the quadrants i had , topped with lychen , so the same for you ? or topped haulm for your crop
  13. i did have a word with him mark , but here's his 698 again sean so good point well made i suppose
  14. silly boy jez the idea is for it to be fixed so for one weekend a year we all go to gavs house we drink his coffee & eat his biscuts & gav gets the satisfaction that we've seen his display in the real so to speak , also a rumour going about he was going to lend us all a fiver to help with our fuel costs just to get there. top man our gav :D top job on those potato rows gav , what scatter have you used as from what i see they're looking a coaldust colour ?
  15. likeminded i think gav thought ? dont do too much yard , after all you can store machinery at another unseen farm but would be great to see more fields in displays , & you got just the sort of machines we like to see out in the fields not sat in barns . good start gav
  16. considering the risks people took with having the tractor in low for running "freewheel" on roads, & of course the accidents caused by the lack of knowledge with MP ,it was surprising massey still kept offering it well into the early 80's, untill of course the 12 was offered.
  17. nice pics mate , a contractor round here used to run a few SAME tractors just like your's buy used to knock the baffles out of the exhaust systems to run straight through , made an awsome sound when hauling trailers
  18. thanks mark , i noticed & asked about that as well , but has gotten a bit stiff so is in the workshop maybe repareable , may need a new one , just after i took the pics , the coolant was drained from the blocks , & was ready to refill later the afternoon . the 2030 is a mechanical driven one , funny looking little tractor with a short snubby bonnet & large opu cab farmer also has a 784 ih & a JD 6320 & a valtra with loader
  19. yep , just 205 pages left to go !
  20. just thought i'd tell you elvis is dead as well barry , so sorry mate :'(
  21. this a bit random as it's just come up on my unreads ? but just to add , i'll say again , i think that unless you can honestly say you know the tractors authenticity, any 590 without a box is as good as worthless, decals now are so good you could redecal 595 tractors so easily.
  22. cold , but warmer than 12 posts ago as i are now got a wooly hat
  23. glad you enjoy them ad , stopped taking the camera with me for a while as havent been anywhere interesting lately , well that i i keep forgetting it
  24. yeah mannsell's got some nice motors there rich , espesially some older F10's/12's but he's also got a fair amount of scrap still running , see a lot of well worn tippers not working much further than crymch ? as he cant garantee their reliability further than 5 miles from the yard :D & yes that probably was me at st clears , do a few regular runs up to fishguard, cardigan & haverfordwest as well as the ones around tenby & camarthen
  25. nice pics rich like martin i think you're also having an identity crisis, as although you are rich.newholland ,you seem to spend an awfull amount of time driving the massey :D ooh jez you sound so official , you still got your JD works hairnet on ? but hey he's right young rich............. saftey first, first aid last !
