  1. Well I know that aswell as you do rich. But some people round here go flat out everywhere to keep up with the combine and when they have 15t on its not a good combination
  2. Good job your having fastracs, uprating a massey to 60k is asking for trouble. If you were to go down a hill with a load on and the momentum takes you up the nearly 70k then the tractor shuts down. And this is true because i know someone that it happened to.
  3. Nice outfit that, I don't know what it is about 7530's but oooohhh they do look good!
  4. Blimey mate, you have been busy, looking great though now hurry up and finish it
  5. Yeah combine and forager cab right? I guessed cos of the nearside window not being full length
  6. Saved the best one til last then! do u fill both of them wieght blocks up on the front of the 5140?
  7. I take it thats the new 7000 series then? I know thats wats on the bonnet but it wudnt be the first time the prototye had differnet decals Looks a tidy old machine
  8. They always seem to keep combining with the unloading auger out up your way gav, never see it down here, any ideas why?
  9. Your getting on now then gav, we still got180 acres of straw on the floor! still waitin for mr skeggs
  10. That looks great, its a shame more model hedgecutters aren't made. Just one thing you might wanna do is put another piece of guard in the back side window to really finish it off
  11. Yeah they sit right up in the trailer, when we tip themup in our shed its sometimes a struggle to get them out as we use the elevator and they don't run out the trailer nice.
  12. well after spending yesterday using it, from what I can see at the second its a good machine with one heck of an appetite, and its built alot stronger than our old Pa93. Joystick control is good too. This is just 1st impressions mind you but we will see when i show it some of the hedges I have got to cut next week
  13. Well after all that he went for a spearhead joystick and float with all the trimmings but we will have to see, it's a 565 and comes in the morning so we will see how it goes but if they are like you say does will have to be on speed dial
  14. Weather is being a right Bi*** here now isn't it pingu, just so unsettled
  15. Well from whats been said they are ok if u keep them new, whereas mcconnels will go for donkeys years, as our current one has. Just out of interest though, why would you buy another one?
  16. Well I think we have established that spearheads cut hedges well but fall apart and mcconnels are much better built but don't have the parts backup but if they are better built then surely you won't want the parts right? I'll take this back to dad and see what he says and if I want anymore help I'll Pm you SL. Cheers for the advice guys
  17. We got onto Francis bugler down dorest way i think, they quoted us £13000 for a pa 96 and we were quoted £21000 for a spearhead 565 but then told the rep that and funnily enough he came down to £14000. funny that isnt it, I'm going to be using the machine the most and I'd prefer a spearhead but I can't see dad walking away from the does and spearhead rep as he is very good friends with him \
  18. Great range of pictures there Love the 2 fendt 900s, why where they choppin the straw out of the field though?
  19. Very nice lookin model that, just shows you what a new pair of boots can do to change a model!
  20. Also we looked at shelbourne reynolds machines and they do look very strong and well built but the price matches that so thats possibly a no no \
  21. Well that seems to be fairly one sided. we are looking at a 565 spearhead with joystick and all the trimmings or a mcconnel pa96 super slew with head float and XTC controls, I would much prefer a mcconnel but dad seems to be leaning towards spearhead. I don't think the head looks man enough as has been said.
  22. We are looking at a new hedgecutter and have come down to spearhead or mcconnel. There is not alot of difference in the quotes we have been given for either machine so is there anything that you peeps know about these machines that could help us decide. Any contributions welcome. Cheers, Will
  23. You never fail to dissapoint malc, I reckon most of the combines in suffolk have been photographed by you now Great pictures though, especially the night ones
