  1. Do like the rake looks very smart, didn't think it would take long for someone to do one.
  2. WOW , that really is some layout you have, very busy a lot going on The houses look fantastic.
  3. Fair point suppose it wouldn't be much use on the spud side of the business. Yeah having 2 handlers offers that flexibility. On the fertilizer point would some sort of hiab be better than running a handler about with the spreader or is there a man with the handler for faster loading ?
  4. IF you load a lot of grain with a handler, would a loading shovel be better for the job ? I know it wouldn't be as versatile on the farm but would having 2 machines be out of the question as some form of backup. Yeah JCB good choice suppose if it is changed regularly the need for a backup isn't realy justified.
  5. Fantastic collection of models you have. Realy like seeing the same model of tractor converted by different people.
  6. Nice layout you have. Looks a very busy farm, some nice kit about. Rotary parlour and all the cows like that a lot.
  7. Nice updates , good to see your busy. Nice spreading gang you have there, good story line how the 2 layouts are crossing over between you and Oakley.
  8. Nice updates , grain store is looking very impressive. Some tidy machines you have, do you just have the 1 materials handler on the farm ?
  9. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Britains-Farm-42996-John-Deere-3140-Tractor-Brand-New-/321668536064?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4ae4f05700
  10. I got that part Joe , my question is why not get "normal" ones you see on a shed roof fixed ones. Wondered if ones that follow the sun are A lot more efficient and would that outweigh cost which surely is more ?
  11. Solar panels nice idea , why the descision to have them like that as opposed to on a shed roof as is more common ? Wouldn't like them like that in my yard only be a matter of time before someone would end up driving into them.
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141505671932?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D141505671932%26_rdc%3D1 I know they don't come up very often ,but how much !
  13. Now that is some convoy, tidy setup you are running. Like the updates of how harvest is going
  14. Tidy yard is a credit to the Farm & its staff, Nice storyline to follow be interesting too see the CTF progress. looks like you have a fair few spud box's in that yard.
  15. Nice too see Oakley sticking with John Deere's and a nice special addition at that. Good too see a trailer in black as well for a matching set. Did Phil know it was going to be something special then or was it a surprise ?
  16. Nice tyres make it look a monster , like how the boss can justify new wheels for that but still has a 3 wheel trailer
  17. 4 Britains dump trailers having a drawbar ,a claas jaguar 960 having a barrel carrier made and a fuel bowser, going to be a busy weekend
  18. Always something going on in this topic, must have been some storm ! I reckon it was Bob he always seems to be creating some trouble
  19. Realy like this topic some great equipment, layout isn't overcrowded either which is good and the storyline is good as well. Nice how the staff have names I tried doing that but ended up forgetting who was working for me.
  20. Looking good nice to see it going up in stages like a real shed ,going to be some shed when its finished.
  21. I thought about £50 as well as its usually works out at about £1 a driver , but if this is what you were on about they went for abit more http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRITAINS-FARM-TRACTOR-DRIVERS-IN-1-32-SCALE-JOB-LOT-COLLECTABLE-/121147578547?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=FfseWtzCa3XsV5N8r%252FnN9DCB9VQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Ahhh Barry got there before me but there you are
  22. You will get the hang of it , few months time you don't know what you might be turning out I sometimes find fiddly little lines or working on little details I use a cocktail stick or similar much easier than trying to fiddle with a brush. Looks good with the beacons fitted.
  23. On the paying front I sometimes use Dads account as does my mum , but we don't use paypal so have to wait for him to come home to pay but its always within the same day. Some sellers though we brought something on a buy it now listing more than 1 available, 2 weeks later and after ignoring our messages they just refunded, some communication would be nice but at least we got the money. Now with the royal mail price hike, has pushed the postage up though I think some sellers are using it as an excuse because some of the prices are mad.
  24. surprising how some little touches can enhance the model, even simple things like painting the hubs make such a difference, should look good when its all done.
  25. These seem good value http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-pack-of-4-1-32-scale-farm-model-diorama-toy-Brushwood-stone-walling-/111112172235?pt=UK_ToysGames_ModelKits_ModelKits_JN&hash=item19decd32cb
