Britains farming German style
bahiafen replied to Richard de Florennes's topic in Model Farms & Layouts
Very realistic good to see that you can do both big and small, 12 rows to 1 row in just one page That certainly was a very common sight, whether red or blue powered, in the fens -
Kiwinz if you file down the middle lug of an old britains attachment you can fit it onto one of th new style siku loaders in the middle section used to hold the siku attachment on Its a bit of a wobbly fit you may want to pad it out a bit some tape or tubing but good enough to take a photo sorry to be so vague but i am unable to take a photo to expalin better Ade ade

No originally the loader that is on my ford 6640 was on the Claas painted claas green The weights come from a ford 8640 its the outer layer of the two layered front weight pulled the outer layer off and filled it with filler and added the lifting lugs Ade
-
Would have been easier just to have made an adaptor for the siku A frame like i have just seen on another post but all the other front hitches are britains type so made this hybrid to be consistant Ade
-
Rebuilt and resprayed (was claas green to start with) and fitted with a britains big bag hook loader Just missing a self tapping screw underneath to raely hold it securley in position (sides are pinned through the loader bracket and tractor body if you look closely) and a couple of hydraulic pipes i know the rams are upside down blame siku Ade

time to upgrade the 6600 loader combo you've seen on here before with the next (plus a few) generation of Ford Ade

Dutch/levelling Harrow
bahiafen replied to Gav836's topic in Latest Implement Conversions & Scratch Builds
looking good there gav blench and cousins colours so no favouatism shown been thinking off doing one of these but can?t remember how the bigger ones fold especially how the crumbler bars cover each other to give a complete coverage used to be 3m centre section with two folding wing sections if any one has any pictures would most appreciate some, if not just have to build a 5m and use the low loder to transport just a quick question not thought of putting a wooden leveling bar on the front i remember most of the cousins ones having these even if the blench ones didn?t ade -
ash tree farm, tms farm work in progress
bahiafen replied to Tractorman810's topic in Model Farms & Layouts
That brings back memories putting the high sides on for harvest back in the eighties with the fork lift. didn?t need it though for the little wheatly 4 tonner. i echo all the good words said about the combine -
Thanks for the tips guys No probs in being rude certainlly the rover blue was metalic but the vauxhall one was normal on the side of the tin to quote a phrase White primer is a good tip Ade
-
Marston Ford and Bunnings blue For my scissor lift have used vauxhall regatta blue for the paint job and i will use this on the next Marston dump convo and maybe a respray of my 6600 loader as i have never been convinced about the preferred forums choice of paint Rover Tahiti blue. Personally when i have used it it has come out dark navy Check the contrast between high tip and dump in the pictures Probably be banned from here for such a comment Ade

Anyone have some decals to complete this Much closer to the one we used to run, even had wide fronts on too Tarted up the inside with gear leavers and peddles but the cab was glued before the photos (schoolboy error)
