  1. Tris you were only a mile from me! Should have called, we'd have sorted a lunch for you. Otter Nurseries lunches a pretty good as well.
  2. Blimey......these are getting pricey!!!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRITAINS-No-00049-12-TON-MARSTON-TRAILER-VN-MIB-/300499178204?pt=UK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN&hash=item45f72592dc#ht_648wt_907
  3. A ROS NH T7070 Bluepower.....goes well with the standard version.
  4. Skips, lidded waste bins (the ones on wheels that they hoist up and tip in to dustcart), welding gas bottles, a tyre handler/cradle, fire extinguishers various sizes.........
  5. Which version? I can think of at least 6. Not an unusual occurrence with die-cast, caused by an incorrect mix of the component metals at the factory. Usually affects a batch of models but in the quantities produced by Britains not likely to be every one produced.
  6. Keep me posted Tris. I have a daughter who lives just across the Thames from Basildon, can merge the tour with a visit!! SWMBO would be pleased......
  7. Probably sales volume Tris. Two versions equals two sales in the collectors market. Helps spread the initial investment costs over a larger production quantity. Also as a toy I would suspect that the intended market could have difficulty in fitting the silage bits if they were made to scale and also could be weak and break easily. Britains wouldn't want to get too involved in supply replacement parts. . If they were made sufficiently large and robust then the whole thing could look ridiculous and not appeal to the collector market?
  8. I quote from my post above....'with release planned for spring 2011'
  9. I picked up a copy of Collectors Gazette in WHS yesterday and contrary to the comments above both of the trailers in the report are NEW! Shows one should never assume what's about to be released. The trailers are both Kane MQ16-tonne, grain and silage versions. The models will feature tipping body, opening rear door, sprung drawbar and steerable rear axle. They will have a diecast chassis and axles with rigid ABS plastic body. Expected to cost under £20 with release planned for spring 2011. There are photo's of the pre-tooling prototypes and they look to well up to standards of UH etc. With these and the new IH/Case tractor Britains look to be on the way back if quality control problems don't let them down. I look forward to seeing them in the flesh!! I attach a photo of the relevant page from Collector Gazette....enjoy

    Zwolle 2011

Always interested Andy. Was going to go this year under my own steam but no job and finances scuppered that.
  11. I'll be looking at the new Britains Massey and the new UH Claas Arion and Kuhn tedder. May be an Imber 6640. If a Norev Dominator at a reasonable price is there then I could be tempted! I'll have at look at what Dan has available on the Three Oaks stand and it will be interesting to see if there is a new release from Imber. See you there!!!
  12. Modelzone in High Holborn, near the Tube station is the only other model shop I know of that sells farm models, mainly UH. Not cheap
  13. Try this landtechnik-modellteam.com/40704/40749.html
  14. You may like to try Toys R Us if you are near to one. TRU used to sell them in their own packaging - a range called Fast Forward IIRC
  15. Thanks Gav, I'll take a look at the website.
  16. Very nice, thanks Gav, Whats the Xerion pulling? Don't recognise those colours?
