1. Shepton Mallet may be a better fair for you Dan. Westpoint is pretty good and well worth a try but there are more familiar farm model dealers at Shepton - Farmmodels.co.uk (Tellerian on here) and Brian Norman being the best known. Shepton does seem to favour farm stuff. Next Shepton is this Sunday and then after that I beleive the 7th Feb which coincides with the Tractor Show in the other building.
2. If this guy has this many Britains models to sell you would have thought he should have been able to spell the name Britains correctly. Be interesting to see how many sell......... http://shop.ebay.co.uk/trainboy30/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340
3. Its not that good from what I've been told Marcus....small venue and there weren't any farm model dealers last time I went but that was a while ago. Its run by Stu Vowles who also runs Shepton. Shepton and Westpoint are the the best in the SW.
4. Sorry Mark, don't know the details though the cynic in me says 10.29 to milk as much cash as possible. Try asking them, contact details are

Telephone01373 452857

Emailblldgfairs@aol.com

To be honest I can 'do' Shepton in an hour and half if I'm quick from stall to stall and don't gossip. It takes me over an hour each way though to get there!
5. Here you go Mark....from the Bulldog Fairs website 'Early Bird tickets from 08.30. These cost £10.00 per person at Shepton.'
6. Next Sunday (December 20th) sees the last Toy Fair of 2009 at the Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet and then on January 10th the first Toy Fair of 2010 will be held at Wespoint Arena, Exeter. These are the two largest fairs of their kind in the SW. I'll be going to both. I've got my Imber Fords to collect at Shepton plus anything else that grabs me. Then we'll see what's at Westpoint, I'll have Christmas and birthday money to spend. Hope to see some of you at both or either event.
7. I knew I had put up a pictorial review of all these, now found it Full details of the Home Farm/Vintage series at http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=19376.0
8. A starting point for you Andy http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=19165.msg342966#msg342966
9. I think you'll find its a US site so some popular European scales may not be there as they aren't popular in the US and I did say may help....also posted to show whats about if you go to the trouble of doing a search via Google/Yahoo etc This has more scales but less detail http://themodelmakersresource.co.uk/facts/facts012.html The site in general is quite useful
10. This may help http://modeltrains.about.com/od/modelrailroadtrains/a/scales.htm
11. Having gone through the yearly catalogues noting when a model was introduced and finally dropped based on the Model Number (hope thats clear) 9540 Manure Spreader was in the catalogue continuously from 1971 to 2000 29 years 9546 Ploughs was in the catalogue continuously from 1975 to 2002 27 years 9577 Massey Ferguson 130 Seed Drill was in the catalogue continuously from 1979 to 2003 24 years Hope this helps
12. There's no Dealer Box version as far as I'm aware. Could be wrong so will await other responses with interest.
13. It looks like a scam to me, classic bit of shill bidding. Needs reporting........
14. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180430620899&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123#ht_500wt_1182 £40 from my local dealer!
15. I'll be there Nathan at some point. Busy decorating, so will have to first coat the walls before I can go!!
16. Tris.......I think you may have to do the honours of posting a picture of you in that car......
17. Too true!! At that price a shame to pass on those. They sell for nearly a pound each usually on Ebay and around £1-25 each at a Toy Fair. Been slowly accumulating a stack and now got all I need really, except if a few more appear at a good price.
18. Many thanks, just what I was looking for........

Zwolle 2009

I've thought about going for the past couple of years Sean, just not got round to sorting it out. So yes I would be interested. I can probably get 'less costly' EasyJet tickets (my daughter works for Easyjet) so that might help. Looks as if a hotel needs booking early. Shall we give it thought in the New Year?
20. £45-00 each.........plus P+P. Very good value!!
21. They were fantastic, I only ordered the two 4WD versions though. Would be hung, drawn and quartered if I'd have bought all 4!! Quantities to be produced are 2,500 each of the two 4WD and 1,000 each of the 2WD versions. Selling well at time I left.
22. Its the most direct route Nathan, and the quickest. There are plenty of 'cross-country' routes if you want. One would be to head towards Shepton Mallet and cut across or another keep on the A30 and head up.
23. Yep, I saw them Tris. Been trying to get hold of a new Unimog for a while. A few have come up with German sellers but they only took bank transfer payments so haven't managed to get hold of one yet. Saw these two but the price was way out of my league. Found out the UK Welly importer is only 15 miles away from me, may go pay a visit one day.
