  1. :of :of Holy **** This looks great I also used the lemken 9 furrow plough as a donor. Just cut up mine :'( to make some more ,before i got some parts from a mate that sold some stuff. Are these all brass apart from the plough bodies. Brass looks really nice but seems expensive compared to styrene. Once again great build
  2. Look forward to seeing them suspect way better quality though. Thanks for positive comments guys, green paint work came on the go when Netagco stepped in. That sure is a Reekie bedtiller in your picture, coupled with the dowdeswell ridgers as mentioned by Andrew Stanford. Most had problems with the large idler gear bearings collapsing, or the stub it was on cracking out. Have sorted alot of these in the past, shame i dont see alot now in the fields. Just looked out my lemken plough, thinking of cutting it up to make more ridgers to sell on. Seems a waste though as not a huge amount of useable parts on for me. This took a while to build as i lost interest for a while, and have to build everything in my livingroom. Don't know whether to try seperator next or the planter?. \
  3. Thanks for comments. Yes it was a pain in the butt to build more work than i first thought, fiddly getting all the small parts right.
  4. This is my take on the Reekie bedformer hope you like it. It does not have the decals yet had probs trying this before. Iv'e tried to get most of the detail on, but have had to leave some out as it was getting cluttered. First is the brochure pic then the instruction manual pics then the beast itself.
  5. Engine detail different as 3095 had 1000 series perkins main difference oil filter position. Fuel filters not same type, injection pump lies horisontal not vertical. Exhaust pipe curved at top, 3080 wouldnt have dynashift lever on steering column. Hand throttle different foot throttle different. Only if your being that picky though, ive probably missed a few things.
  6. My computer just missed a ertl john deere 3350. It just froze up pain it went for £16-£17 quid, been after one for ages at a reasonable price.
  7. 3090 didn't come from factory with turbo only had ten more horses. 3080 100hp 3090 110hp. Turbo only appeared on larger 6cyl models or smaller 4cyl models. Loads were retro fitted with turbo conversions, great model though more money to find.
  8. They definitely made a dung spreader old one wooden sides horizontal beaters, i used to play on a old rusty one at home as a kid. Only weighed it in a few years back not much left but the serial plate was still there.
  9. Thanks will let Neil and Iain know it will be a good working classic when she is finnished.
  10. Yep they shure have im involved with a ford 5000 rebuild with a selene 4wd axle in bits. Does anyone on here know of any info on these axles, rare as hell from what ive been told not county or roadless. Its a real pain they have spoken to roadless and county suppliers no joy. Tidy tractor by the way will look out for it.
  11. What are you taking to the show. Also every body attending please check out the pink new holland looks like a 70? series, must be a charity or raffle tractor. Anybody attending the show please go to my new employers stand. RHS (Reid Hydraulic Services) as they are agents for universal hobbies models aswell as Valtra tractors, they also do a wide selection of hydraulic components and other things . I will also be making an arse of myself in the quad bike challenge later on saturday afternoon. Wont be there till afternoon anyway as im working in the morning.
  12. Looks like its for propcorn or molasses my spelling of these could be seriously wrong. No funny jokes of popcorn either its an additive. Will look good as a model.
  13. Found it through general farm model search, had a look way back as a guest. Forgot about it then one day on farm models.net had another look and decided to join. As a self confessed non people person i find this site helpfull and with good banter from people from all walks of life, not just someone like myself who grew up on a farm. Then decided to repair the equipment for a living, and collects/ makes the toys as one of my hobbies. I sound like a weirdo when i read that back but maybe i am, but i ain't the only one on here . I also find it amazing that we can all share other issues in life that aren't hobby related. Everybody from young un's to golden oldies and global too.
  14. Interesting reading here but woooooohooooooo about time this came around. MF and 7810 will be mine , and if they need a bit of UK spec changing so be it. Now hows about some normal sized implements then not the biggest in range.
  15. Looking tidy so far will look good finished like the one in picture.
  16. This is very good real talent but we dont expect anything less going by your other work.
  17. Well normal day at work until i got home. Got phone call guy at work just got smashed into head on on blind corner by a **** in a Volvo overtaking. Put van in ditch on its ribs so i went and got trailer and twenty miles later arrived on scene had to get local farmer to tow it out then hand winch it on pain with flat tyre. They should have just got a recovery lorry as it was hanging off trailer once we got it on. Right hand wheel on as it was shoved back, left hand one was just on and no more. Heard one of the police officers mention weighbridge so i made myself clear saying that it was going a mile down the road to the farm that had come to pull it out. So if they had a problem i wasn't moving now i knew i would be overload and told them i had no intention of towing it all the way home. It was tail heavy anyway superior officer said to get going no probs, thank god for a decent Bobbie now and then. He was just wanting the road cleared and i was too without any hassle. But the main thing was both ok but the guy had no mot and got charged with dangerous driving.
  18. Well i said id get prices so tier 3 150amp alternator perkins ie 6480 £279 retail. 120amp £175 now for a 6499 tier 3 sisu diesel different alternator same 150amp output £462 retail. Compared to a 399 say 45amp £113 retail cost now these are off our massey parts system so dealers sometimes give a bit of discount or may charge more?. How much time spent diagnosing fault cause may vary.
