  1. for 1:50 http://modeltruckworld.co.uk/ for 1:24 and 1:50 http://forum.truckmodelworld.com/default.aspx?g=forum and http://www.24thscalemodeltruckforum.co.uk/index.php despite the name it caters for 1:50, 1:32, 1:24 but the thing is 99.9% of model lories are in 1:24 or 1:50 and its really only the lads wanting some for farms that tend to be into the 1:32 though I think years ago Esci or someone produced a 1:32 plastic volvo kit with a skelly and container but its an 80's model (I'm too young )
  2. I get mine here: http://www.kitformservices.com/supplies.html - scroll down to the bottom and you'll see it. Yeah its a masterclass in modelling - if i could do half that i'd be happy!
  3. Not sure - but it would certainly be the first thing i would go for to try.
  4. Amazing work - a true masterclass! Regarding the solartex it is great stuff - I and others would use it for curtainsiders or tipper covers etc on 1:24 lorries etc. I don't know if it helps any but for the likes of a curtainsider even if the solartex isn't painted its always advised to get a drop of satin clear by the likes of humbrol etc to spray on. It gets rid of the gloss finish but doesn't leave it matt - just the way a real curtain would be. I don't know if thats of any use to you or not. I just love this combine
  5. Have you painted all the bits by brush? If so what type of brush do you use - it looks a very smooth finish! It has improved the look of the model so much!
  6. Magirus Deutz became Iveco. There was a cab shared between volvo, daf, renault and the maggie. It does look a bit like the bedford tl but the side windows are wrong. My guess is it is either an old ford or iveco style.
  7. Personally im not a fan of bullbars but they should sit lower (closer to the road) imo. Also, well you know about the lights and i still believe they don't look wuite right due to the difference in scale. But its a nice model and at the end of the day if its the way you like it then thats all that matters Would be better if it had some blue tractors on the back but sure you cant have everything! Going to have to get back into working on my lorries. I've the dreaded modellers block where i just can't get going!
  8. Looking real nice Peter! Are you going to stretch the chassis a bit?
  9. Is it just me but does the bonnet on the model not look too long compared to the real thing?
  10. The light bar you have is made for the grille and would be reversed (upside down on yours). Ive never liked bull bars but amazingly for the huge difference in scale this one actually looks in scale - did you change it mate? Think i'd agree and remove the light bar but the rest looks SUPERB
  11. You could do with a lift to get into that New Holland
  12. Hey mate! Just replied to you on the other forum - good to see some of us on both The chassis colours remind me of Kerbey Motors: http://www4.picturepush.com/photo/a/3172347/img/Kerbey-Motors./km004.png
  13. UH will no doubt have theirs out soon and it will be a lot more accurate But then wheres the challenge in that Have to respray the nose as whilst the paint was wet it fell...outside...onto the dirt :'( so i'll have to rub it down and go again
  14. Drop of paint on, not finished yet though!
  15. Thanks very much for the swift response Mark! I've looked at the scaledown website and can find about four sets of rims and tyres but none look right. Are they available to buy online? Got some of the massey 'light grey' today
  16. Anyone know what 1:32 wheels would match an fe35? Getting to the stage where i could do with some if they are cheap to get
  17. I bought a UH 35x 1:32 a few months back and had it stripped down within a few hours running into some tricky bits like the working steering which gave me no option but to cut through it to free the steering wheel and therefore the 'dash'. I will keep it simple, all i will do is change the exhaust, remove air filter, add another battery beside the seat and change the colours and thats it. Last night i brush painted most of the chassis with a revell metallic - it seems quite thin and flows really well otherwise i wouldn't have dared use a brush. I added a few bits back on for these pictures:
  18. I dont know if its accurate or not but to me if its a john deere trailer it should be green with yellow wheels so i like it
  19. I like it. Not gone overboard - good job couple of tips though - most of your dirt appears to be on the rubebr tread bits, instead of inbetween where its more likely to be becasue it would stick there, a bit like this (even though its a bit extreme) http://stockpodium.assetsdelivery.com/thumbnails/sima/sima0806/sima080600045.jpg also i wouldn't bother putting muck on the exhaust because on the real thing (if it is above the bonnet like this one) it is rare that dirt will be flying up that height especially so far forward but theyre just little pointers, as i say i still think its a very good job you've done there - keep it up!
  20. Good to see someone else with the lorry bug Looking well - is it only the scania that siku does or do they do others?
  21. Thanks mate. Keep an eye on the other topics because as soon as Uni is finished i'll be building again
  22. Thanks Dan. No its 1:24 scale
  23. Good job its big scale though - cos my hand isnt too steady!
