  1. just had call from local Claas dealer and a black and white 30000 jaguar forager harvester is waiting for me to collect it - saw the real one at Agritechnica and knew it had to be done in 1/32 !
  2. back from germany ! Fendt katana forage harvester Claas 695 forage harvester Valtra t in Gold/brown Valtra n series black and white cow markings fendt xylon challenger rogator sprayer amazone power harrow drill combi kuhn 6metre folding flail topper combines and snakes dont appeal much to me and i certainly didnt want to drag such a huge box around or on the plane !
  3. A Ros Grimme potato harvester - arrived today , having waited over 20 years for it to arrive i have to say it is a superb heavy well made model - very pleased !
  4. I think i may also come in the 5000+ or sad box !!! Started collecting when i was very young and kept everything i could get and also had a couple of very friendly reps who used to let me clear the "box in the boot " !! My father also used to bring home a bag if he ever went to a show or demo . Always thought i was the only odd person until i got in contact with Rory !! main interest is 1965 - present day - all the stuff from my era , collect all tractors from all over the world but very keen on anything odd, strange or unusual . very few filed ,tried to log them once on a database - gave up 1/2 way through the letter A !! stored in files ,boxes and cupboards in my house and my fathers !!! more interesting would be what is everyones favourite brochure out our collections ?
  5. Average field size for us is 4.5 acres !! biggest on farm is 13 acres and that used to be 4 fields until we removed the hedges !! Self propelled forager doesnt take long do a field when its only 2 acres !!
  6. i am sure the manufacturers dont like it ,but then they do put or give out the brochures along with wooly hats ,sweets bottle openers , dvds etc etc . so they do know what they are doing ! i am sure they will get more than just a brochure for anyone who is a genuine buyer and not just a tyre kicker ! as a youngster the local reps always used to drop in all the new brochures for me as they knew i collected them and i suppose they hoped my father would also look although it was always unlikely we would buy a combine or an artic tractor - they still dropped them in for me if they had them . so i suppose a lot may also depend on who you are !! ?? at the end of the day it is the arrival of ebay that has created a global supply and demand for all collectables be it models , brochures or mcdonalds toys ! dont forget what was free 30 years ago you are all paying big bucks for now because of ebay .
  7. agree with Rory to a point ! not everyone can get to the shows ,demos etc , very easy for those in the trade to attend and get any brochures they want , but what if you live 350 miles away , average field size is 4 acres and farm size approx 200 acres , local machinery dealers dont even know what some of the big kit is from their own brands - quadtracs, xerion , challenger , nht9 or even a lexion !!!! Then there are brands with no dealers in certain areas ,and more and more people collecting models wanting a brochure to go with it ! most companies are very helpful when you ask ,and with the quality of most new brochures they are themselves making them more and more collectable themselves . not that long ago we all thought that brochures would be replaced by the internet ! do the tractor companies really mind ? seems to be more and more promo stuff around if you can get to the shows , isnt there an old saying that any publicity is good publicity ?? there are many sides and opinions to this debate !!
  8. i also have the 1959 new lines/crown leaflet , has a complete set of farm buildings and farmyards which are very very rare , when they do turn upthey either make next to nothing as nobody realises what they are or a small fortune as some people do know how rare they are !!! great hunting though !!
  9. Hi , yes ,i can confirm it was a ready brek farm ,i bought one set several years ago thinking it was a britains farmyard which had been taken apart but although very similar the sheds were not exactly the same , late last year however i found another complete set still in the original box it was sent in !! came complete with a bag of awful charbens animals and a wooden base board with a ready brek farm sign !!!!!!!! still trying to find out who the maker is ! I love all the old buildings not only are they unusual and different they are also uncharted waters as nobody know much about them - happy hunting !!
  10. Dairycrest for us ! only picking up near the main roads , approx 4" on snow on ground down here and all back roads are just frozen solid , fed up with it now !!

Lemken had the sprayer at Agritechnica , but only in very small numbers , they told me they ordered 5000 and UH sent 500 , and they were offering approx 40 per day for sale at the show great model i had the last one for sale on the wednesday at the show , nice to see a mounted model instead of self propelled or trailed !
  14. got the ropa by good luck tried on the tuesday and sold out by 10am , tried on wednesday all sold and then another box full arrievd while i was there !!! it is one of the best models siku have made and good value for its size compared to some other models siku profi unimog is also excellent !

  17. a very very nice model, I always wanted real 6800/6850 but have a 6400,n111 and m130 instead . was it very easy to do ?
  18. awesome model , that makes collecting worth it when there is so much other stuff available , cant wait for this to arrive !!!!!!!!
  19. this was also made in france and is perfect , even has control handles , i really like this model as we used to use one of these for silage when i was very young and also for cuttin kale , i then dragged it into use again when about 12 to top grass fields but sadly it didnt like being on a big tractor and on rough ground so i broke the gear box !!!! memories !!
  20. Recently purchased from France , an excellent model , it is an ih mccormick 624 , dont think it was ever imported into the uk , but such a good model and i do like ih models so it arrived !!!
  21. as seen in Model Tractor magazine , is this the only one in the uk , arrived with a lot of help from Holland - thanks Jack !! EXCELLENT MODEL !
  22. i think the eurotrac model was made by Henri Winter from germany as i have a second almost identical model that i purchased direct many years ago , for some reason it was made with very very bad dual wheels so it was sent to Paul for an upgrade , now looks excellent , they will make a great pair together ! the middle silver fendt is a very poor model which i think was someone trying to make a fendt evo concept tractor , but it was all wrong so my 3 year old nephew had it instead !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
