Few more.

I needed a muck spreader of the MF135 era so had a shot at this. Thanks to Lord F for the brochure which helped as my memory seems to be unreliable these days.

any info on these 510 drills mark , how many were made & how much of an impact they made considering they came into a pretty well established market with the dominant sellers like accord & the like ?
I remember looking at a 510 to replace the 30, but I thought they were relatively light and I didn't like the multi-point metering and bought, as you suggest above, a 4m Accord, which was also cheaper.

I would guess the surface you primed on was not clean enough - I would suggest wiping with thinners to remove grease from fingers etc., and then a soft brass wire brush to give the paint something to 'key' onto. Make sure paint and room is warm when painting.
-
I got a few gifts of some nice malts this Christmas - will probably 'sample' them tonight.
All the best for 2012.

Christian Gouel is bringing this out, but at €210.0 you need to be a dedicated DB Fan. They do go quickly though.
Looks like if the shade is removed there are holes in the mudguards.

Another cracker! Did you cast the tines?
-
I'm not familiar with the tractor but as a model that looks superb.
-
Looks fantastic with the decals on. Superb work, Thomas.
-
That looks very smart. I think the biggest difference cab be made to a model by painting self coloured plastics as you have done.
-
Nice work on that cab - looks well.

I thought you'd have said a Massey Harris reaper binder first John :D ... or a scythe
Used 'em both Mr Grumpyperson. ;D

First one was a Ransomes 801(?) when I was a kid, through MF 780s, Clayson 133, 1530, MF 525, Claas Doms etc. TX36. Newest would be a TX68 though did have wee try with a CX8080, nobody will let me loose with a Lexion for some reason. My favourite would be a TX34 .

If it's new, use coloured acrylic or look out for packaging the correct shade. Retrofit - I haven't tried and can't think of a suggestion apart from above.

Happy New Year, Marky.
We've been sending off our 1st Jan payments too............not overly impressed. >
.... you want to buy yourself some 'luxury goods' such as something as simple as a telly and you pay 20% all over again
or a Big Mac.
our own money we actually end up with when the Government have finished shafting us every whichway they can >
Aaah but they haven't finished yet - we've got to save the Euro..........
-
Very smart job. The decals will finish it off nicely.

All looking very good - especially that post knocker. It looks like the deluxe version of my old Parmiter.

this is a the African way of drilling Sean E baby... MF style anyway
My father was an advisor in the Sudan in the 40s and they had drills like the 720 but wider, in gangs of 5 pulled by Cat D6s & D8s - fields were up to 3 miles long.
We had a 4m 30 in the mid 80s. I thought it was a great drill but the transport kit was a bit of a fiddle.
-
I have my (bunded) tanks under cover too. No problems with insurers etc.
-
You can file the eye open to form a hook then if you are very pernickerty use plasticard to make the latch etc.
Looks like everyone uses the same image.
-
I hope everyone is having a great Christmas Day!
All the very best to all on this Forum and wishing you a Happy and Successful New Year. :)

almost forgot... these....
Dread to think what the fairy on the tree will be wearing.

Latest additions include a 240/265 brochure, a leaflet for the 50EX Tractor Handler and a poster brochure for the 500 series which also includes other tractors in the main Massey range at the time including the 1200 and 1505.....
I must be getting old - still have the 50ex brochure as considered one against a forklift in 1994!
Marky must be getting worried these days as UK's MF brochuremeister.

Thanks Paul and Brian - I do like the antique stuff.
It is scratch built - there are some pics on the forum somewhere.
This one is mostly plasticard although the rotors and some chassis members are brass.
Thanks Brian - these are the kind of machines I grew up with so have some fond memories.
Nice - bet that was more than it cost new!
Don't know Bill, probably around 20hrs. (wish you hadn't put that pic up now ;D)
Bloomin' hawkeye Pullen. That was a start of one, but have used it as a template for a brass one.
