  1. Thanks Mark. It certainly is. Hopefully better news will prevail soon! It's so so sad but as you say, is the only downside to having these faithful companions (or any other pet for that matter). That said, she'll be pleased...she can now finally turn down the dry food and pedigree chum, and demand all the ham, eggs, roast beef dinner leftovers, chinese spare ribs, rich tea biscuits and chicken chow mein that she desires
  2. I'm afraid its a similar theme of late but my Dad took the eldest of his, Beth, today :'( A very sad day indeed. She was certainly part of the family and a large part of my life over the past 16 years! She has certainly enjoyed a long and happy life and of course, the memories will live on! So RIP Beth and I will certainly toast a drink to her memory this evening N.B Bottom left in the pic!
  3. The Silver Massey was produced as the "real" tractor was re-sprayed as a special for a MF employee's wedding.
  4. Sounds good Mike! I've really got into golf over the past month or so. For some reason I find it quite relaxing (apart from when I shank it!) What sort of score will you be aiming for at the end?
  5. Lovely set that! I have only every seen one other! Lottery win and I might be tempted!
  6. Its a Britains Fendt 615 LSA. Marge Models told me
  7. Nice find that Claas Valtra I remember searching ages for one!
  8. I do have several others which I will scan in later. Moving on to my rummage from the huge box of literature now though.
  9. I'm not a huge brochure collector myself but I find them interesting to flick through. More to the point, my dad and I have a large collection of literature with quite a lot more aqquired recently, that has just been sitting in the shed, so I am starting to go through that and scan it all in for reference. Most of it will probably be sold, but hopefully it will be interesting for those reading the topic to see a non specific range of brochures on all different types of machinery So to start it off, a few brochures I do have myself.. To view the brochure in a larger format, just click on the thumbnail. It should then pop up.
  10. All set to replace the Golf this week when on the way back from the post office today, the turbo gave way. Certainly a very bad case of Sod's Law! > >
  11. This was at Carrington, in S. Moat's stand. I have had a quick flick through so far and its pretty good. Quite different to the style of Stuart Gibbards books. No others as of yet but the plan is to get them. Invaluable resources really.
  12. It was a shame the weather let us down as there were about 100 more tractors still to photograph. They always get a cracking display, and although I prefer the slightly more modern machines, it was interesting to take a good look at the engineering on some of these rare machines. My favouite had to be the big MF though which Sean picked out. One day, I think if I ever get into collecting the real deal, the theme will have to be big beasts like this.
  13. Bought the MF500 Era by J. Farnworth yesterday. Been meaning to get it for a while. I timed it right though as the big man himself was stood next to me as I paid for it, so very kindly signed the copy
  14. Its about time we created a specific area for metal and plastic figures relating to the hobby. There is a big following for it, so if you have a topic you want to post, please do so in this new board.
  15. Due to the recent increase in brochure related posts, I have created a new board for members to post their personal collections, or specfic brochures of interest.
