First, a selection of some familar faces

It was indeed a great weekend. Spoke to lots of new faces, and as has been mentioned, its always nice to meet up with our current members! I'm processing images now, may take a while!

Mainland Europe, I think Valtras are king! Going by FTF model standards, the Valtra has been hugely popular over there.

I can confirm the model is not weathered by Britains. It has been done by Oranda Design. It looks very nicely done, having seen that model at the truck show on Sunday. I believe the price will be around £20 - 25 on the day.

I think as has been said, everyone is entitled to an opinion. We are a forum after all! I dont think we should be too sensitive to negativity on something that nobody has had experience with yet. If someone chooses to be negative, but is proved to be incorrect on their judgement, they would undoubtedly have a big portion of humble pie to eat. Further negativity after that would then be more feasible to bring into question.

Topic for all new construction items in 2010

Not that I'm in a position to confirm what's released or not, but I would have thought the positive news coming out of Britains so far this year would give most people more confidence that quality models are on the horizon from either Ertl or Britains. They are quite sensitive on what they announce, particularly when it involves new OEM models. In my opinion I would rather them not release a new precision model and release 3 new standard line items. I guess time will tell though.

There was a suggestion the ring hitch may be dropped. I will have to check if that was decided or not.

Unfortunately it wont make it on to the County's done this year as the tooling is taken from the existing items already produced for the old hitch. I believe its diecast, as initial plans were to have it in diecast. Unless its changed in the development line. Please also be reminded that is it is you guys of FTF who have forced this change through after feedback submission at the FTF Britains meetings. So pat yourselves on the back It is a certainty and confirmed by Craig that the old hitch would not have been replaced without the batterings they recieved from FTF'ers.

I only have this image which is the same model shown at Nuremberg. Its hand finished and visibly a pre production sample item. Its a bit clearer than the other images so far though

I heard this morning that the UH MF Model is likely to be a 7499 not a 7480.
