  1. Hi Everybody As the title says merry Christmas I would like say the your model conversions and scratch builds are awesome no matter whether its a first time build or seasoned builder . Your advice has given me plenty of encouragement to finish my convos and scratch builds that I have on the go most of them packed away collecting dust ,So hopefully next year I will get my act together and finish what I have started and share them with you,Once I have learned how to take a decent picture and post them at a sensible resolution . Thanks again and A happy New Year To You all as well Regards Paul
  2. There still very nice tractors and I will certainly be adding them to my collection, and I like the weathering detail you have added. I drove a two wheel drive version of the 2640 on bail cart a few cart a few years ago one of the best tractors I have been lucky enough to drive, I currently drive a MF 3125 with a front mounted brush at the quarry where I work I think the 2000 series was more comfy than this. Here are some pictures. Sorry about picture size haven't work out photo bucket out yet :
  3. Has any body been fortunate enough to have bought the new Universal Hobbies Massey Ferguson 2000 Series Tractors Yet? I have looked at the pictures on Massey Fergusons web site, Where the 2620 looks spot on I was wondering about the 2640 and 2680 as the exhaust pipe is on the wrong side of the bonnet. What I would like to Know is, Are these just prototype pictures or the real deal as it would be real shame as it would ruin an otherwise nice set of tractors, also the 690 bonnet slope looks a little steep I don't want to sound negative as it is good to have these tractors to collect but with the cost being around £35.00 or so it would be nice to get a spot on model.
  4. Wright I think I have this Ok If ive got this right you should see a few pictures of My Masseys more to come
  5. Thanks for your replys as soon as I can remember how to use photobucket I'll post some pictures
  6. It’s been almost a year since I've been a member of this Forum So I thought it's about time I told you about my Collection it started of with a Britains Massey Ferguson 1505 Then My Wife bought me a Britains Massey Ferguson 6290 Then My First ever winning bid on Ebay was Britains MF 2680 which is on the work bench waiting paint to finish of a restoration, then the list grows. Our Newsagent said that they will finish around issue 99 but I’ve heard that before.
  7. I Have taken a while to think about this and have decided on the following in reverse order 5 Ford 8100 - Because it sounds just great 4 Massey Ferguson 135 - First tractor I ever Drove 3 John Deere 3130 - Again because it sounds Great 2 Ferguson TE 20 - Should be No1 But that goes to 1 Massey Ferguson MF1200 Since I was about 8 I have liked this Tractor It is so easy to drive Has it's drawbacks but that's open to debate
  8. It,s a pity they don,t sell sparks in a box for the plugs
  9. Just had a good laugh at this site really like the wiper blade sharpener that one would have an apprentice mechanic tied up for hours trying find one
  10. Really nice job I hope I can Produce some nice models like that someday, Only I have been to busy thinking of what to do instead of doing
  11. Haven't seen one of these for years and then it was like "sorry lad haven't got any more " So if its alright with you I'll have a go and post my efforts on here, just have to get some ink for my printer and I'll be away. It will be a nice break from the models I'm converting at the moment like my Britains 760 Combine where I'm making a Powerflow header for well Trying to anyway .
  12. Thanks for all your input I am truly Grateful, the tyres will be replaced as we speak all I have to do is find a supplier for the paint any suggestions would be welcome I prefer to work with rattle cans when possible as you can get a more even finish.
  13. Hi Everybody. I'm a tad confused on what colour to paint the chassis on my Britains 2680 as you will see from the pictures I painted it Brown I know it's not right but at the time I was happy with it but not any more. I have also posted a picture from the brochure It looks kinda brown dont it? Also what do you think about the rear tyre change there from a Britains JD 4020. Help would be very appreciated thanks for reading this. What Colour would you say this is ? What do you think of the Tyres ?
  14. One of the best sounding tractors I've heard was an MF 590 fitted with an Opico turbo and straight through pipe it belonged to Faccenda Farms @ Hillesdon near Buckingham in the 80s(They had two of them). Also up there would be the John Deere 3130 I drove in Hereford Nice tractor.
  15. RE What am I Doing to my 8280? Modifying the mirror arms to look more like the real ones and possibly putting dual wheels on the rear and some cab interior mods if I have time over the week end I will post some pics of the job in progress.
  16. Hi Ian You have Done a really nice job there I hope my Massey 8280 Convo looks as good when its done.
  17. My Latest Requisition is the Siku Massey 8680 on Duels and Britains Land Rover in red
  18. Looks like another classic in the making , It looks much better than the new look John Deere's But I'm Red to the core so I would say that. I wonder if the Universal Hobbies One will be out by Christmas ??
  19. That's what you call super detailing in 1/32 scale too the mans incredible my hat goes off to him.
  20. Thank you for your warm welcome to the forum. What I plan on doing might sound a bit ambitious but having given this much thought I have decided to build the UK supplied machine having just bought the MF Power Flow Table brochure off of Ebay I was a bit disappointed that it doesn't give any spec's like width and such but can't have everything, I was thinking maybe using the measurements from sikus MF 7278 as a guide as this appears to be a power flow header, also any idea what the back lights look like all the pictures I have are of the US version and I don't think the UK model had the same ones .
  21. Hello Everybody my Mame is Paul And kinda new to this so here goes I would like to Know If there are any good pictures of the MF 760 Combine showing the warning signs on the sides and on the header. As I am rebuilding my old Britains 760(Pictures will follow) and A bit of super detailing never went amiss. I hope you can help thanks for reading this Paul
