  1. I like the idea, now you've giving me some thought...keep up the good work.
  2. This is the same farmer figure "farm hand", had to hack to pieces and shorten him, change the head over, repositioned his gun I didn't have time to put the shot gun butt under his arm, cut the left arm off removed the hand and repositioned as if his hand was in his pocket. All the above was what was in the photo I was sent
  3. Oh forgot to add; Mandy I altered three of the pheasants one with extra feathers on the wings as if its been flushed out from the hedge, i cut the wings off and resculpt them to show more feathers then turned the head to one side and the other one to show it's gone to ground, this one took a lot of bending to get it low to the ground. The third one shows the bird in a dart formation with the head parallel with the ground and the body tilted to one side. Having spent many shooting seasons as a beater and an under-butler watching the birds been shot you get to learn their pattern of flight, especially partridge "pop ups" I call them Pop up and get carried off with the wind.
  4. A days shooting, pheasants by HLT hand paint by me
  5. Base is from a plastic kit, blocked out the side windows then gave it a respray. Here's some more photos down on the Tullyhogue farm
  6. I'm in the final stage of scratch building a 1/32nd Defender 90 Hard back with bull bars for a client,
  7. Hi All, Thanks for your comments. Yes mandy will give you a call in the morn about 10 or what ever time your in the office.
  8. Hello folks Been away for awhile. This is waht I've been working on.This figure is the same as the one in my profile picture Mr P Garner the Farm manager. So what changes have I made, removed the flatcap and gave him a new hair style turn his jacket into a waistcoat and adjusted the sleeves to look more as if he was wearing a fleece and adjusted thr trouser by taking off the pocket and adjusted the footwear to look more like Hunter wellies Please not the Hunter Tags near the top of the wellies. Undercoated him in black and bobs your uncle fully painted. say hello to "Frank the FarmHand".
  9. That looks a very nice scale to work with. Where did you get your figures from?
  10. Huntsmaster calling his hounds out side the blacksmiths and stables and along a country road
  11. Love the photos looks well with the hounds. I'll upload some some photos of him on the Tullyhogue farm looking for the hounds later on to night. If possible sue may have some copies of your photos please I would like to add them to my gallary on my site. Thank you
  12. Thanks for your comments Anty Sue. will get back to you with the info. I've startedon the horse. Note how the black undercoat as picked out flaws in the surface of the model hence small pot holes in the saddle and neck area. Just fill in with either milliput of greenstuff. Last photo - Had to try out the hunts master on my display....
  13. The Hunstmaster in full colour. sorry some photos are slightly out of focus Paint used Acrylic: model colour and gamesworkshop. then magic coat - (clear floor polish mixed with matt varnish) Stages: Base coat black red for the coat layer it on and highlight with a touch of orange. Boots satin black, leather basecoat brown then highlight in shades of light brown followed by a brown ink wash. Hat matt black highlight with a bit of grey Trouser, gloves and neck scarf - basecoat light grey then layers of white. The collier is baesd on the percy Hunt in Northumberland from my town of Alnwick. The face start with a dark flesh tone then hight with lighter flesh tones. Eyes white for the white of the eye and black pupil Hair eyebrows black or what ever colour you chose Drybrush the hair a lighter-shade. Last few photos of the finished Huntsmaster. All he needs now his is horse.
  14. Here's photos of the horse and more greenstuff and one or two extra holes for the painting process. Just a few problems with this horse. It comes in two halves, the head (There are different head poses) and the same applies for the tail and base. Points to note. Both halves do not marry together, so plenty of sanding down to align them. The hole drilled for the tail is in the wrong place its halfway down its bum cheek. When you glue both halfs together fill the hole in with greenstuff. See photos. Then repostion the hole, use a 2mm drill bit. The head does not fit the body - more greenstuff is needed and plenty of sanding down and don't forget to cut the lug or stud off at the base of the head.. see photos Greenstuff was around before Gamesworkshop and I only look through the Gamesworkshop window now. ha ha! I've drilled a hole in the saddle for one of two reasons: 1) So that I can pin the rider to the horse. 2) Attached the peg for painting the underside of the horse. see the photos. I also drilled a hole in the belly of the horse for the ease of painting. Now its Ready for the base coat.....
