  1. I'm interested in going to this show as I stay only half an hour away. How large is the show and what is on display/for sale? Jon
  2. This isn't a display, it's for the wee boy to play with! (Well me too).
  3. 9mm MDF with mitre fast adhesive for jointing them. I was thinking about making them and selling them as I made jigs to knock them out with the router. Would there be a market for ones "unfinished" like this?
  4. I have been building a farm for my wee boy and its just about there. I will be painting the bases and bottom 100mm in grey and adding green corrugated card to the upper half of the sheds. http://www.facebook....v=3101580781199 Not sure if the link to the vid will work (bear with me). Jon
  5. The wee loon is a a slighty larger loon now, this was taken about 5 months ago, he is now capable of destroying a tractor if he so wishes which thankfully isn't to often. really looking forward to making the buildings. My business partner has a collection too and has fancyfull ideas for a layout with 12 sheds up to 1200x600mm, his GF has other things to say about it though! Jon
  6. Hi I'm new on here and I mentioned on my intro that I'd built a unit and some of the guys were interested in seeing it, it's a bit of a faf to upload to photobucket then link it to here so heres a link to my FB photo. The top is now covered with javis grass and over christmas I will be making a few sheds for it. The shelves in the front are for storing tractors and implements, although they have been commandeered at the moment for fluffly teddies and books, it's just not right! After reading about the quantities of tractors some of you guys have amassed I will try and get some up of my meagre collection up. Cheers Jon
  7. I could'nt be any poorer, I have a son in nursery and a fly fishing habit to fund too, doesn't leave as much as I'd like for the tractors. Cheers for the welcome.
  8. I have fond childhood memories of playing with my Britains tractors when i was young, so when my son was old enough to wield a tractor in anger I started to buy him a few Britains and Siku models to play with. Well that was at the start of the year, I now have a cupboard full of them and am still on the look out for more! I run a joinery business so I have built a open fronted storage unit with 8'x4' board on top in Hugos room and hopefully over christmas I will get some sheds and buildings built for him. On the collecting front I've taken to visiting tractor dealers when I've got some time off, oh dear, I'm afflicted and not ashamed to admit it. Jon
