  1. Looking forward to the trip up to the show, after ticking Moira off the bucket list this was the next aim. As Joe mentioned we'll have a few new products ready for the show too!
  2. I like that alot, a few in those colours around here still
  3. Great trip down to Spalding, and first time trading at the April show. Some really good feedback coming from people about the kit's we are offering and strong sales throughout the day. I didn't get away from my stand the entire day, which is great from a sales perspective but meant I missed out on seeing any dioramas. From the photos it looks like there was some great pieces on display! Really good crowds too, from what I've heard it was over 850 people through the doors? Roll on the next show which for me is Aberdeen on the May bank holiday weekend.
  4. Great to meet you and put a face to the name! Hope the conversion goes well!
  5. Fantastic work Joe, and very nice to see. As others have mentioned its great that you've managed to get the mechanism to function too! You've got a career as a design engineer ahead of you if you get bored of retirement
  6. For anyone at a loose end in the North West tomorrow there is a model show in Shap. I believe it will mainly be truck models. I am going with some of my scratch builds and Marge models. Will grab some photos if anything catches my eye!
  7. I'll have the Braemere Models stand there, hopefully with a few new pieces!
  8. Awesome stuff Hugh, makes a nice addition to the kit, that will be one seriously specked tanker once you're done with it!
  9. Some new treads on the Welly Unimog, pleased with how these have turned out. Properly scaled 495/70 R24 wheels (41mm diameter) were way too big so these are a nice compromise at 37mm. Just got to get the facelift bonnet kit finished now!
  10. Not so sure about the 8RX theory Phil, the info I've been hearing from people in the sales industry is that whilst the initial release sold well noones been rushing back to buy more, with virtually no new sales this year. The price of wearing parts, particularly tracks, and lies about how long a set of tracks will last, particularly at speed, being quoted as the main reason for not buying again.
  11. Looks interesting Jan, I'm guessing there will be issues with the glue going much smaller than the size you have there?
  12. They're coming to life with paint on Sean, have to admit I didn't think it would be possible to print what you've made, very impressive
  13. Well into production with just a few bits left to do before release is the 10ton Fraser kit, this will be available in grain and silage formats. A little bit further behind but the first prototype of a Bryce Suma post knocker/driver has been made, quite a few changes required with this to get all the parts moving as they should.
  14. Out today is this KTwo Duo 1200 Muck Spreader model kit, really pleased with how this one has worked out. A little bit of a hybrid utilising laser cut and 3D printed parts to allow the angled sides to be produced.
  15. We've been busy over the winter period at Braemere Models with a few new/re-run kits hitting the shelves, and a few prototypes nearly ready for release. First up is a kit that's been out of production for a year or two. The Fruehauf Bulk Tipper Kit, now with decals for Fruehauf and Wilcox brands and a variety of sheet options. Alongside the tipper I've also developed a single axle dolly based on the model we manufactured when I worked for Bradleys Group, looks the part on the 8S!
  16. Looking great Ian, are the tyres the printed resin rubber that has been discussed in other topics?
  17. Impressive stuff Andy, I've always had trouble with clear resin curing, but then I've always bought the cheapest one! I saw mention elsewhere of putting a reflective surface behind? I think something like tinfoil or aluminium tape may work well, however silver paint has always looked abit dull when I've had a clear part up against it. Photos show headlight recess painted silver then the resin light in place, might have been more the poor quality of the resin though.
  18. I started to develop one with the swb, but came to a stop when I realised a kit really needs doors and a bulkhead too as they're often missing, and there's alot of variation in the bulkhead/windscreen. May get back to it before the spring.
  19. I'm impressed by the quality of those Joe! I'd imagined anything FLA rubber printed being a horrible stringy mess but they look fantastic
