Well gv, the liners for the cylinders have rusted right through at the top. I rang our local farm parts, and there 40 a time! 3x40= 120 squids! I have been told a new engine will be from ?150-?200 and with a hairline crack where the head studs go in, i thought i might look for a new engine. Yeah by all means have a look gav, i would appreciate it. Give me a shout if you find any gold! Thanks

Thankyou very much to all that have contributed to this topic. You've been a great help. I have one other slightly odd question. Can i sell my number plate that is the origional one for my tractor? I have had it valued at ?1500!!! and when im trying to restore a tractor, and im not earning anything, this sum would be a great help! Can this be done???

Thankyou. i have the log book for my Nuffield with the registration details in it obviously, is this enough to get it registered?

Can i ask what is needed to get an old tractor registered on the road. I.e lights, insurance, Roll bar that sort of thing. This is a bit of a grey area in my mind, so any info would be appreciated. Thankyou Russ

My grandad said he used to use a old tvo nuffield, dont know what model, and it did over 30 with flames out the exhaust! Ive now got a diesel nuffield and hope when its going, that it will do the same!!! Will it? Russ

Just a question regarding a fergunson t20. Whats its top speed? Either a diesel or a tvo petrol one. I know this isnt much of a concern but i would just like to know. Thanks Russ
