Marklin Lanz Bulldog 8029 from 1959
Tractordave replied to model_man01's topic in Older Farm Models (Pre 1990)
Google translation:- The Lanz model of Marklin in plastic exists and is much rarer than the die-cast one -
They fit over wheel hub, split pin and wheel nuts - two small brass levers (threaded) go through the gaps in the wheels and are turned onto the back to clip them on (see photo of back of wheel). Two small bolts on the front of the strake can be tightened to lock them in the out or in position - although when in out position the tractor will not sit properly for display purposes.

Brain Norman got Tony Molay owner of Denzil Skinner to run off several kits round about the time the business closed. I managed to get a couple unfinished kits from Brian during the lockdown and finished them off. Tony Molay took the original moulds with him when he joined in partnership with Alan Smith (Hart Models)(Hartsmith). Tony has retired and ASAM Models still sell the tractors but I think they may have slight alterations to them.

Yes chrome is in very good order. There has been a fairly good repair done to the LH mudguard with a plate and chrome pins at some point though. It had broken right across on the bend near the top.

There seems to be no remaining pictures on this topic - so here is a few of the Chrome Fordson Major

Denzil Skinner made these two small Nuffield Universal tractors - probably 1/43rd scale. Cast metal wheels that turn but no steering

Noticed Martinsfarms sold a boxed Same Trident back in March - it was sold before I knew it was there !

It's part of the Lone Star Farmer's boy series from 1978 ish. Tractor also came in red , blue and green with a trailer or other implements. Lone Star was the registered trademark of D.C.M.T. from about 1951.
