  1. James I reckon compared to that Heath chaser,a Hi-Lift Bailey would be a walk in the park, I'm just winding you up,Uni comes first,ha ha!. Regards Joe.
  2. Some of you guy's might be interested in some of the other bits and pieces I've put together over the years,If you ever find you need an auger for a job,I created one formed on a round central tube useing common pins to create a curve which I drew on freehand earlier then built up the "screw" useing 1mm x 1mm Plastruc square rod, which I then used to make my Krone XDisc 6200, I also dabbled briefly with making my own hydraulic rams,You can make these any length and any diameter they also look more convincing as there is a marked step between the cylinder and the ram,For ease of description, I'll say use 1mm x 2mm x 3mm and 4mm cut 4 lengths to required length then cut a short length of the 2mm about 2ml long glue that to the outside of your 1ml ram,Then do the very same again but this time glue it (carefully) to the inside of the 3ml ram,it's hard to write but easy to do,here is a picture to explain. Regards Joe
  3. Actually Gavin, the Tracked Massey was fairly straight forward,Casting the idlers was a bit of a step in the dark,But the Massey cab fitted very nicely into the John Deere floor pan,The only thing I really needed to make was the triangular track frame which luckily turned out to be the right size to fit around the track,??? Regards Joe
  4. Thank you for the fantastic complement John,What made the Terragator possible was the introduction of those wide tyres,I already knew about the Volvo ADT,I managed to source one of them from Sweden, with some help from Pete of MPR models,Don't see much of Pete on here now,The cab / bonnet is a Norscot Challenger and the spreader is a widened Siku version. Regards Joe.
  5. Sorry for the panic James,no harm intended,I believe that TerraGator works in South West Scotland,Not to far from you really,Yes dabbled in casting quite some time ago but never really went anywhere with it,Saying that I need to get some new Silicone and Resin,Cheers for the compliment,Yours are non to shabby as well. Regards Joe.
  6. James and I had a bit craic earlier on Facebook and he said he would like to see some of my past work here on FTF,So the easiest way to do that was to used the sites search facility to look back at previous years,So Here you go James, and thanks for asking, http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/topic/24457-whats-your-latest-farmconstruction-buy-2017/page/40/?tab=comments#comment-614613 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/topic/14776-tracked-massey-ferguson-8280finished/?tab=comments#comment-391115 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/topic/14783-my-specialsso-far/?tab=comments#comment-391455 http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/topic/16980-terragator-2244-finished/?tab=comments#comment-440877 Regards Joe.
  7. Never knew this video existed Hay Farm's harvest 2018 with their two 780 Lexion's and a Case IH 9240 on demo,Just heard last night they have three combines again now,but it's wet here just now for chaseing,Maybe tomorrow,? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS4kMbHq0IQ Regards Joe.
  8. That's the beast Paul thank you,Funnily enough earlier this morning Armstrong Siddeley came to mind,And sure enough that is what is fitted to that baler, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S6sNcfeNug Must have been very awkward starting that,HSE would just love to catch you climbing up on the reel and cranking that by hand,You can also see on that video it is moving back and forth on the drawbar, Regards Joe.
  9. I'm wondering if any of the IH McCormick guy's can help shed light on this,When I was 10 / 11, 1964 or 1965,My late father used to drag a big IH or McCormick baler around useing a B250 or maybe a B275,It was I powered by either a single cylinder or twin air cooled engine,I have Googled this a fair few times and all I can find is a No 50,That might have been the right one but that is fitted with a four cylinder petrol I guess engine,Maybe the air cooled engine was UK spec,That engine had some power as I recall the whole tractor baler combo rocked back and forth as the plunger went back and forth so much so the whole rig started sinking into the soil,?? Regards Joe,
  10. Cheers Paul,I doubted they would be they're not officially available yet are they,?? Regards Joe.
  11. I don't know if the P1000 is the same,But the tripod mount on the P900 is in completely the wrong place, the camera weight's one kilo, the mounting point is on the extreme right corner which makes it very vulnerable,So I have bought a tripod mount ring which will support the weight much better.this is not my camera,I got these from ebay. Regards Joe.
  12. Nikon Coolpix P 900,beast of a camera, been after one for years but alway's way to expensive, but spotted one a couple of weeks ago at a decent price and went for it,I'll need a new tripod mound rim for it though as Nikon screwed up with the mount on the camera. Regards Joe.
  13. Recently got a new camera,With a lot of zoom, first picture is Allan in the 8330,In the distance in front of the JCB you can see one of the 780's in the OSR,The second photo is the same 780 taken from the same spot.click on the photo, wait a second or two,Then click again when the plus sign comes up. Regards Joe
  14. Not a Chelsea tractor,But a Perth tractor,One of the guy's heading North into Perth City centre,I was really hopeing to see both the Lexion 780's and they're headers,??heading through town,But they must have gone through earlier Regards Joe.
  15. No combines about today,Strange really as it was dry,?? But I did catch Alex out with the 550 Quaddy with their 6m Grange low disturbance toolbar and the TopDown with a new OSR seeder box. Regards Joe.
  16. Cheers Gavin,I would not have known about them either unless I'd spotted them in a retailers shop I used to deliver to over twenty years ago,There is also a rather dodgey caper of de-gassing aerosols to use in an airbrush,??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqVnb7_FDrE&t=558s Regards Joe.
  17. As said air brushes can be a pain to clean,I always wondered what these reusable can's would be like, https://www.exportersindia.com/synbright/synbright-refillable-aerosol-spray-can-taichung-taiwan-401412.htm Regards Joe
  18. I was surprised these guy's were still in the same location,All be it on the other side of the road,But a better location this time,One for the JCB fans, thought the colours went well on these two,One for the John Deere fans,And one for the Massey guys. Regards Joe.
  19. Just noticed it is exactly a year ago today to photographed these guy's. Regards Joe.
  20. Finally, some action locally, the wholecrop squad are back in action, which is more than can be said about the batteries in my camera, hopefully I'll catch them again tomorrow, and in a better location. Regards Joe.
  21. Here is the video, https://www.facebook.com/100008950578435/videos/2319592098349120/ Regards Joe.
  22. Not every day you see a John Deere towing a helicopter, Sumburgh Airport today, https://www.shetlandwebcams.com/sumburgh-airport/ Regards Joe.
