IIRC we had c. 800 on the day, this was slightly down but based on ticket sales - as we now don't charge for children them the actual head count was probably slightly up.
FYI this is quite a common practice in some sectors - as an example Balfour Beatty shortened the linkages of their McCormick CX95s to allow them to lift greater weight when handling cable reels.

Toytrac was about 720 this year - only counting adults as children now free.
Ref the calendar, agree silage is an issue, but by late June the peak is over, and a lull before winter grains are on the go. It is that quiet spot before everything kicks off.
