  1. Ahhhh..Windsor! I've been there a few times and it is indeed, beautiful. I've also visted London (Ontario) - my employer has a plant up there. Mike
  2. Thank you sir, for your kindness! I would be from the big mitten looking state up in the Northeast called Michigan. Mike
  3. Too bad Marky's tied up with extra work, oh well, more money to pay the bills! Thank you for the compliment Deere-est! The photos were taken on my little 50 acre Yankee farm - my little corner of heaven!!! Mike
  4. Howdy Gents! Haven't been around for awhile and I apologize for that! Anyway, We had a few nice days here awhile back and I decided to till up the wife's garden. After looking at all that fresh dirt, I decided to go inside and get the Fergusons out for some excercise! Here are some pics of Fergusons out in the "field". The 175 is pulling an International 3-bottom plow and the 1080 is working a Massey-Ferguson disk. Mike
  5. Thank you indeed gentlemen for your kind words! This is my second Fergie and my third custom (oops!, I mean convo) and I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. The MF fans are a little thin over here too so I'm always happy to share my projects with anyone who cares about Fergies :D Yes indeed Markey, and the UK version looks strange to me! Isn't it funny how something as simple as the headlight positioning is different. Why do you think that is Marky? Does it have to do with UK traffic laws? Anyway, thanks again guys for putting up with me and I hope to have more for you in the future! Mike
  6. Hello again from the Colonies! I just wanted to share a couple of pics of the completed MF 175 that I have been working on. Pops Rick showed it while it was under construction - here is the fininshed product hitched up to my old International disk. Mike
  7. Is this the one, Marky? I don't really get into the modern tractors however, this one looks like it could be re-done into a really nice looking rig! Mike
  8. Well Marky, I collect and "convo" 1/16 scale tractors. I know that you guys seem to be heavier into 1/32 scale. I started with Massey Harris and have a 555, a 44 Special, a 101 Super Row Crop (wide front), a Pony and a Colt. I also have a 1/16 International A (my first real life tractor) and a 1/16 Ferguson TO-20 (I currently own one in real life also). I have just started with Massey Fergusons - the 1080 and the 175 are my current projects and I have an Ertl 2805 waiting in the wings for a custom job. My very first custom after joining TTT was a custom pulling tractor based on an really bad Ertl casting of an International 3088 series tractor - turned out really well. My Fergies have been rescued from E-bay, they were really in poor shape so it's been a restoration along with the customizing. Long live the Fergie!! :D Mike
  9. I look forward to seeing everyone's work! I enjoy seeing what others have done, it even gives me ideas! Okay, perhaps someone will be kind enough to explain to a poor confused Yank?? Mike
  10. I'm sure Marky means well......It's tough when your an expert!! :D Mike
  11. Not bad for a bunch of foreigners! (Ooops!....I guess I'M the foreigner here!) :D :D :D :D Mike
  12. Thank you for the welcome Scot! I hope to learn a lot about English Fergies and hopefully I can teach you about "Americanized" versions of the Fergusons. Mike
  13. Thank you for the warm welcome Gents! As a newbie (and a Yank) I'll try to mind my manners. Marky, I've just got around to building the Fergusons so I've got the1080, the 175 and I have a 2805 waiting for a "convo". My collection started with Massey Harris - I've got a 555, 44 Special, 101 Super Row Crop. a Pony and a Colt. I also have an International A (the first real tractor I ever had) and a Ferguson TO-20 (I currently own a real one). The first convo that I ever did on TTT was a pulling tractor based on the International 3088. Fergie Boy and smallclaas - you boys behave! Mike
  14. Hello again Gents! I have not introduced myself yet, but Rick said I needed to get over here and talk to you good people! The 175 you see here in this post is an old Ertl 175 in 1/16 scale. The tractor was in poor shape (like it's twin the 1080) and was a candidate for a custom workover. The tractor as you have seen it is not finished. The "blue" on the block is primer, I still have not sprayed the finish coat on yet. The hood and fenders have been painted and I have added the decals to the hood. I will be putting on larger custom front wheels with Firestone 11L-15 tires and will have dished rear rims with custom tires. I ground off the cast-in exhaust pipe on the right side and have put on a upright stack. I will post more pictures as I work on it. Mike
  15. Hello Gentlemen! I have not yet properly introduced myself, but I felt I needed to jump in here. I see Rick has put a few of my MF pics up so maybe I can answer a few questions. The 1080 that you see here was an old Ertl casting in 1/16. It was basically the same casting as the 175 but with a cab. What I did do was to add frame rails down the sides that the 1080 had but the 175 did not. I put on larger custom front wheels with 13.6L-16 Firestone tires and made the stock Ertl 1X4 rears into duals. The Ertl casting did not have a proper exhaust, which I added along with a proper air cleaner/breather on the hood that Ertl "forgot". All these things make for a much better looking MF 1080 than the original Ertl casting. Look forward to talking to you all Mike
