Super looking there mike.... soundslike you have a new product... just need toofferthem square or round .... all old loader tractors need one of them... the DB990 with forklift i drove hade a monster one and it had a trailer hitch built in also... looked realy cool
-
you can get the casting stuff on ebay easy enough have a link for someone if you want it
i dont want to sing up there...if i start buying of there i will never have money coz ill neverstop
-
For the difference in price I would vouch for the casting myself. Spend money to make money.
Those prices were jsut rough guesses.. i still have to find casting materials.... they might cost alot if they have to come form oversaeas...
-
Yeah still too curvy on the front mate, needs to be vertical down. Looking alot beter though!
After how much of a pig this was to do i think im just going to shave the roof and leave the front window alone on the next one.. i still have a cab idea up my sleve or in the post im not sure?
it aint over till the fat lady sings, and she is looks much better, keep going your onto a winner. as people say it isnt 100% but its alot closer, say 90% more than what is currently availible remember im down for one on ya order list
Yea the fat lady sang mine then she sat on the front window Im happy with how it looks ( with a compleate front window..) there might not be a order list... My dealer cant do 10 at a good price. he wants rrp on all them... i dont know who else to get them thru... If i got them at full rrp it would make the price around $70nzd each 7810 if the cab is cast... bout $60 if just the mtx and bonnet..

oooooh close but no cigar
It still slopes to much ?
-

the selo tape is holding it for the moemnt
-

-
Well good news or bad???
Good i got it to look just right....
Bad... when i was trying to bend the window cold it broke.... any one have a spare MTX window?
-

The 2wd Ebro tractor came in a set with some implements, what's the tank thing with the pipes on, is it a fruit sprayer? I'll try and find a picture!
Yes it is a friut sprayer powerstar... Im pretty sure it is mine died years ago

-
She is a sexy beast there mike.... Im looking at getting rid of my right arm and leg to buy one... it will be about $300 NZD plus postgae.... cant justafie that atm on ONE model :'( :'(
-
The loader arms dont go over the weight... been there tried that
-
OK Stupid questin time......
Why is it leaning to one side?? I know it's not your photography!
As said its a hill sider and i think some class fan parked it and left it tilted so people think "crappy broken jd" thats my guess any way
-
Smart thinking.. That would look the muts nuts behind a JD 5820 or some thing in the smaler hp class..
I think im of to order the cat to kill it
Its simple but very very effctive

Who makes the grader blade? and where can you get them it looks super
-
Im working on the cab lid at the moment here is a pic ( crap quality tho)
What do you think for the thickness?
I think that will make it look better if i take it all to that thickness.. im still thinking on the window front
-
here is a pick in jd colours with no bonnet... should give you a idea as to what i mean
I need to touch the paint up... what is the best way to take the old paint of??
-
What did you use as a cab?
The MTX cab.. It looks the part... only a true jd nut can tell the roof line is a little to thinck and that the fornt window has a bit to much curve... It looks the part tho
-
Look foward to this one in anticipation! Cab always seems to be the hardest part to get right!
i found that to be the easyest part... Im still trying to get the bonnet sorted \ I have now done 7 and they are all in the bin... i cant get the slope to look as it should... i have brush painted the model so it doesnt look that good... if i do more im going to have a shot at air brushing it....
-
Ahh ok... just with how it starts as a big area and then goes thin it looks like a car skid mark....
Mtx 175 in to JD7810

for doing a cab casting it would have to be two parts wouldnt it? i have never cast... im thinking of getting it done profesinaly in alloy... both cab and bonnet...What do you think ?
