  2. After restoration some of these babies will be added to my grandsons already large Britains farm figure collection. All obtained from Boot Sales too!
  3. Sweet conversion , looking forward to your "walk through" picture postings ! - might start mine then. I was gonna do some thing using the siku ploughs!!
  4. Nice one ricky - i have tried to print off but no good at this resolution. Can you mail me the original pdf or jpeg so i can print - would appreciate it big time paul
  5. Ricky - would very much appreciate it mate , yes please. How do you find building the kits?
  6. Back to those Doe turntables - i was proposing to modify them for the britains but scratch build in the appropriate scale equivalents for the other skids.
  7. I havent got any pictures except my reference material - what is yours like and ill see if i have a picture of it!!
  8. Alot of mine were buried in our back garden along with the soldier in their graves !!! --- shame Now were cooking on gas !!!
  9. Sorry couldnt resist - JCB yellow of course!!!
  10. I think you would agree they have a charm all of their own especially the earlier models - even the packaging was nice. I tend to collect all die cast if its early but especially Farm and Construction - all i pick up from Boot sales for pence. I once bought at a local charity fair 6 boxed Moko Lesney originals circa 1953 MIMB - all for ?6 - i made a killing 1 fetched ?48 on its own. Sadly that was a road roller that i wanted to keep but my partner wanted the money for it = they dont understand do they.
  11. Moko lesney Fordson - these fetch ?70-80 mint boxed
  12. Hey dont knock em steve , many good things come in small packages not just my wedding tackle!! There are plenty of modellers that work on stuff a lot smaller - 1/72 is quite a popular military scale for instance, not for me though . Although building and? flying airfix aeroplanes when on fire was fun when we were kids though!! I digress........... Converting them would be difficult in every sense other than colour variations unless someone knows different Any way these arent mine as i dont have any photographed? but they? give you a flavour.................. so much for the ?15 price tag for the britains liliput -? one is on Ebay at moment boxed and is doing ?40 a good investment i think
  13. Havent yet tried my hand at any implement conversions but do menbers think that the siku plough is a good donor model it certainly seems a cheaper option even if i have to buy 3 at ?5.99 ea especially compared to ready made alternatives others offere elseware on the web. I want something Beefy to hang behind my larger tractors. Now just need to sus linking them together!
  14. Anyone doing anything in this scale ? or collect them, i have a few by Moko lesney - Fordson, Matchbox Fords and MbTrac and Britains Liliput Fordson and a couple of Ertl's so far - Ford Tw20series i think. and some dozers? Certainly doesnt cost the earth to get a collection like this going.
  15. I have been keeping back Britains/Corgi and Crescent skids for conversion to Triple D's but dont know how to do the turntable and linkages convinsingly as no references - anyone help?? Could buy Sstuart Gibbards Doe story i know or buy a Scaledown kit but thats a bit severe on the pocket - its cost me enough for the skids afterall.
  16. Humbrol do a very close shade of blue in a spray can of 150 ml size - sorry cant recall the shade i used mine all up when dry it looked like the same as original britains 6600 & 5610's ? - mind you they varied so much even between plastics and castings on same tractor this was a good mid range shade - quite authentic i think you will agree as you can see http://www.kmcollectables.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/1109194672_orig.jpg
  17. ?24 for a corgi mf with front bucket in mint unboxed condition, from the NEC toy collectors fair in Dec. Prior to that ?4 for a boxed powerfarm county which i later undersold on Ebay for about ?36 if my memory serves - still was not a bad return on my original investment. [move]********************************* GOD BLESS CARBOOTS******************************************[/move]
  18. Sorry Goodhead,as i told Tractorman cabs i aint got. Any ideas for cabless conversions?
  19. Not seen this one before Steve Counties / Roadless / Doe based ford 4wd conversions rule Ever done anything with a lambourne cab???
  20. Both - i have tractors with no cabs - cabs cost and you are hard pressed to recoup your costsif you sell on with some marks. I want to restore and or convert to sell to fund restorations to keep for my grandson. He gets my swaps - i cant afford to pay to restore just for him. I got about 7 fords that wiill cost about ?100 to restore and none will be swaps. Cash flow is key!! - i am prepared to swap or sell some bits to further this aim I have corgi, matchbox ,dinky, siku, ertl, crescent and lonestar farm stuff as well.
