What's your latest farm/Construction buy in 2021
SPN replied to robbo's topic in General Hobby Discussion
The spec on the Municipals can be wrong for ag use, but they do tend to be lightly used and well maintained Michael Hoey has a muni toolcarrier in his potato fleet. -
I'm guessing that's a Purdue 1124, but where did the Fritz cab come from? Schuco? Loving all the blue, as usual.

How many family members kidneys have you sold exactly? And have you told them yet?

Every time I think I'm on the home stretch with this SCALEdown 1965 6X Ford 5000 Super Major, I find some more niggly little bits that need fettling. Also, the UH 6X 5000 is a 1967 model, not a 1964 model as advertised.

HMRC have updated their guidance as of today As far as I can see the only loophole is to send via Northern Ireland as it is an internal market for both markets. (Only the Nordies could wangle their way into that sort of situation) https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/notice-143-a-guide-for-international-post-users/notice-143-a-guide-for-international-post-users

The good news first. Northern Ireland is in the UK and the EU at the same time, so there is an opportunity there, but you have to pay double shipping costs and you need someone in Norn Iron who will help you out (thankfully they are all helpful chaps n chapesses up that way) The bad news (and there's lots of it) HMRC requires any company, anywhere in the World, who wants to ship to the UK to register with them and collect VAT on their behalf. There is a cost to register, which may be the €700 referred to by Robbo. Most small businesses in the EU are not going to do that because it is not worth their while. This is causing a huge problem for UK bicycle shops in particular as they used to get all their parts out of Holland on a just in time basis. One example of how ridiculous this is: Brooks make exceedingly good bicycle saddles in the UK. They ship all their product in bulk to a central warehouse in Italy from where it gets distributed out to customers. Because of the new HMRC rules and red tape, they have suspended all shipments to the UK. So for the next couple of months, until Boris does his next U Turn, we can expect the whole thing to be a big mess. Unless you are in Norn Iron, in which case you get the best of all Worlds.

The younger step monster's ex is a paramedic ambulance driver in London. I checked in with him the other day after seeing photos of the chaos outside the London hospitals. His ambulance is in one of the photos. He was sitting in a queue of ambulances with a Covid patient on board and they had to wait for 5 hours before being able to hand over the patient. -

That all depends on how HMCE and the Treasury decide to interpret the WTO rules, but probably. On the other hand, you should be able to get VAT removed from purchases in EU, but UK equivalent of VAT will then be added on when it arrives Charlie Foxtrot -

A lot of the mangling would have been done by the fire brigade when they cut the roof off the car to get the passengers out. The photos make it look much worse than it was. But the German engineering did help. A 1980s Toyota would have been a different story. -

If you look at the position of the rear axle centre relative to the chassis rails it does seem that the cab and gearbox is sitting a couple of mm too high. The front is also sitting a bit high. But it's very very close. Witchcraft I tells ya
