  1. And then there was the 2019 diary - with a twist. http://thriplow-farms.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/2019.pdf Lots of stuff about crops or some such, but no new machinery. Tractor fleet, as far as I can figure, is a 714, 724 and 930.
  2. You always know people who have driven non-power steering tractors by the way they position their thumbs. You only make that mistake once. I love the Major by the way. Enjoy.
  3. Got back to the workbench today to do some bits. Was using the drill and thought "maybe I should put on safety goggles". Ten minutes later, with goggles on, the drill bit snapped and took a chunk out of the ceiling over my head. Always wear safety goggles boys and girls.
  4. It looks like the diesel powered T7050, T7.210 and T7.225 will be upgraded to Bio-Methane powered T6.180s in 2020 as originally planned. What horsepower do those new Strautmann silage wagons need under them? https://media.cnhindustrial.com/AMEA-English/NEW-HOLLAND-AGRICULTURE/new-holland-unveils-the-world-s-first-production-t6-methane-power-tractor-at-agritechnica-2019/s/b7d87534-63c3-467f-ae47-103724800a56
  5. I would love to come to the show, but it is not practical for me. Every time Sharon posted the graphic on the Moira Show fb page I pondered if it might be possible, but no. Maybe in the future. Photos can never take the place of seeing things like the D&H Diorama in real life, so don't be worried about people staying away because they can see photos. If anything, as in the case of the Moira Show, putting up photos encourages people to go there to see things in the flesh.
  6. Anyone going to the show, please remember the motto "you can never take too many photos of the D&H diorama" And when you get home, there's the even more important motto "you can never post enough photos of the D&H diorama to FTF". We need to see every outstanding detail, from every angle.
  7. A simple upgrade of the 6410 III to 16.9x34s from an Imber/ROS 40 series. Not keen on trying to straighten that step though.
  8. Here's my Scaledown Roadless 6/4 built as a Chaseside 6 cylinder 2wd. Front wheels from a UH MF2620, rears are Scaledown 15x30s.
  9. Them's 14x34s on the 5640. Scaledown do 14x30s and 15x30s for the Major, with 6 stud wheels.
  10. Stick around until Friday and attend the Moira show. Would love to meet you.
  11. I've been away working for the past six months, and am looking at a career change, which will take up lots of my time to get organised. But I do want to get this little lot finished, and another dozen or so projects progressed. The Ransomes MG, Allis Chalmers and Fordson N are all on my SCALEdown to do list.
  12. Fortschritts? Classic Tractor did a piece on them a couple of years ago. Not sure ot was this farmer though. There's a heap of scrap ones beside the M7 north of carlow.
  13. Yeah, pity about the colour. If it was in New Holland colours though, and "keep her lit" applied, then no bother.
  14. Serious amount of Ford and JQ wafer weights on the front of the Xerion. Is that a Topdown 500 behind it?
  15. I had a 6.30am start in driving rain this morning. Was like December. The High Pressure over the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Etc is forcing the Jet Stream around it clockwise, so we're getting the effects of the Jet Stream pulling moist air from the Caribbean around the High.
  16. T6030, TM140, T6080 and T7.200 hauling grass past the workplace today. TM seemed to cope with the hill best. T6080 had to drop two gears on the steep bits but the TM stayed in top the whole way.
  17. I've never seen those wheel weights on a real 1454. I'd suggest talking to Ian about the ones he made for the 1474. They are a much more accurate representation of the real thing.
  18. New additions on the tractor front include a TEA, TEA w Bananaloader, 6410 Gen3, and 1490.
  19. I also got a new Cosworth Sapphire shell and a Mazda Miata shell. That's about 12 resin shells I have to make time to build at some stage.
  20. I must finish detailing the E30 M3, and get a pic of them all together.
  21. There was no way these weren't going to end up in my collection. The 911 SC RS that Billy Coleman drove to 4th in the 1985 Tour De Corse, and the 911 SC RS that Billy Coleman drove to third in the 1985 Circuit of Ireland. Set 11 of 78. The missing model from my Rothmans & Prodrive 1980s collections.
