  1. BOR. New Holland 2305 SPFH (A big thanks to the member who sold me this model) Britains. New Holland FX60 SPFH Britains. New Holland FR850 SPFH BOR NH collection. BOR and Britains collection.
  2. Back in July, exactly two months ago, I suggested that we challenge ourselves to get some of the projects out of our heads, and through our workbenches by October 1st. I certainly upped my game and got a number of long term projects underway since then. Doing a quick review of the thread it seems that a lot of others have done so as well. This post is to remind people of the deadline with 11 days and two weekends still to go. It was suggested that there be a seperate thread for the projects that were built for the challenge and I think this is a good idea. I'll post a new thread before the end of the month to showcase the finished projects. In the meantime, keep posting your work-in-progress on this thread.
  3. Classic Tractor did a good piece on the evolution of SP beet harvesters earlier this year. http://www.classictractormagazine.co.uk/back-issues-2018/

  5. There is a 1:32 scale model of the Stoll V202 available. About €45 out of Holland.
  6. I had lots of success with Halford's yellow spray paint on the two truck kits, but not having much success with the brush and enamel on this kit. It's driving me nuts. Although it does look better in the photo than in real life. One more try, then we'll bave to look at stripping it back and going the Halfords route.
  7. Storm Helene heading our way tomorrow. Should be no shortage of moisture.
  8. On the home straight with this one. Still some little niggles to be worked through, but she's looking well.
  9. Recent aquisitions from Mr Ford. Scaledown : T29. Roadless Super Major (1962) Scaledown : T56. County Super 6 (1963) Scaledown : T74. County CD50 (1959) Scaledown : T100. Ford 5000 Super Major 6X (1965)
  10. Cyril had a photo of 160 of them at Mondello last weekend. Can't remember which thread it was in. I have the lights up version as well, and plan to get the RX-7 and Nissan Silvia kits too. What silage contractor in the mid noughties didn't have a yard full of Jap imports belonging to the tractor drivers?
  11. Next project onto the bench is a 6 cylinder Super Major based on this Chaseside conversion.
  12. The second kit is the 1:32 sscale Aoshima Toyota AE86 Trueno with lights retracted. The two tone paint and the lights were tricky, and are not 100%. Lots of learning was had in relation to masking and detailing. Will do fine as a background piece parked up in the yard as a worker's car.
  13. Two projects off the workbench today. First up is the Farmmodels.nl "mest container". My first time working with a styrene kit and lots of learning was had. Some of my modifications include the internal ladder, hand rails, internal bracing, hose bracing, and external filling pipe with ball valve.
  14. Two more kits likely to be finished this week. Two tone paint job for this lady. Fingers crossed.
  15. That's the Toyota Dyna complete. Lots of niggly little details done today, from the wipers (broke both of them removing them from the sprue) to the mirrors (all worked first time - surprisingly) to solving why the cab wouldn't sit straight (air intake incorrectly positioned on first day of build). Going to build the Hino ZM 6x4 tipper with the same solour scheme, but there are a lot of other projects ahead of it in the queue.
  16. So is the 5110 essentially a 6X 5000?
  17. Late 70s to mid 80s. There was a facelift in the early 80s and the kit contains both the original grille and the facelift grille. I've gone with the early grille as it is for a late 70s dio with a Hino HH tractor and lowloader, with JCB 3C and 5C excavators.
  18. Dyna project getting towards the end. This is just a fit together to see how it is looking in yellow, and I think it works. Couple of more coats and I think it will be time to get on with the final assembly. Sean, it is pretty good scalewise, maybe a tiny bit on the small side. Here's a pic with the 42196 Ford 5000 for comparison.
  19. UH. Claas Jaguar SF60 (x2) NOREV. Claas Jaguar 690SL Norscot. Claas Jaguar 880 (PU300 by ModelFarmer.co.uk) Westend. Claas Jaguar 900 (PU300 by ModelFarmer.co.uk)
  20. There's some really finicky detail, like the steering column assembly is five seperate pieces and it needs to be assembled in a certain order - which I got wrong. There's a choice of original or facelift grille for the front. I'm going original. Cab and tipping body will be the same yellow as the Hino HH. It will be a support vehicle for a plant hire business.
  21. The Toyota Dyna has managed to leapfrog up to the head of the queue. Cracking little model.
