  4. The T6.175 in the pictures is a 6 pot. It is 140hp with a boost to 175hp in certain situations. The new Tier 4 T6.175 is a 4 pot. It has a different bonnet. The T7060 in the picture produces 210 hp. It's bigger, longer and heavier. I wouldn't compare a T6 to a long wheelbase T7 as they are completely different animals.
  5. Thanks for the photos Justin. Some absolute beauties in there. My memory is that I was watching a David Brown 990 Selectamatic doing something out of shot when you took that photo. It was a great day alright. The P6 E27 and the old NH SPFH on original Cork plates still stand out. The 4000 wouldn't need a weight up front as that is a proper grain/beet trailer, not a silage trailer. Notice how far forward the axle is. Less weight on the drawbar. I saw a Munster Machinery grain trailer in a dealer the other day. I must go back there and get some photos next week. They were the second most popular trailers around here in the 1970s after the Lees.
  6. Forward CIF is a 1956 registration, but the number CIF79 is assigned to an International 1055. Curious.
  7. Who's that handsome chap taking shelter from the sun behind the T7 in the background?
  8. I'm sure our Britlandish friends heads are exploding at the sight of a 10 ton trailer behind a Ford 4000. Very common on this side of the pond. SZK is from about 1969/1970, so this is probably an original Irish Roadless 75. Just a pity it didn't get SZK754
  9. Sitting in the car wash today when a 7720 pulled up on the forecourt with a stone fork on the front and a 3m chisel harrow on the back, Next thing an 8735 pulled in behind him with a 6m power harrow and bed former.

  14. I know some nurses refer to bikers as Organ Donors. I was coming home from work on Thursday night on a twisty road with a colleague following behind, next thing a Marauder type bike flew past me (both of us, as I found out later) with another car coming against us. The oncoming car braked, thankfully. Otherwise I'd have a very gory dashcam clip to share. Nutters.
  15. As promised, I popped by this yard today and the owner was getting ready to go spraying. He opened the sheds and kindly allowed me to get some pics to share with you lot.
  16. A lot of ground has been ploughed in the last 48 hours over here as the land starts to dry out. Lots of tractors out everywhere. But what made my day was meeting a farmer who still runs (since new) a 1978 FIAT 780 2wd, 1978 FIAT 1300 4wd, and 1980 FIAT 780DT Pininfarina. He also runs a JD3650, which he'll have out top dressing tomorrow with an Amazone spreader. I'm back that way next week, so if I see him in the yard I'm to pop in and get pics.
  17. Bint in a white Audi (with fog lights on) came up the outside of me at speed just as the two lanes merged, then didn't back off even though she had nowhere to go.
  18. I needed some extra space to park a truck on a job. Was told I could access the shed in the yard. Inside was a TE20, 65, 165 (203) and a Super Major. In another shed was a Nuffield Universal. Went on to the next place we are going to be working to figure out the logistics and there was a 7A1 6600 with FIECO cab. Also saw a shiny new Tumosan 88-95 on the way home.
