  1. John Q 7530 with a Vaderstad Topdown 400 passing through Enniscorthy this morning.
  2. Rented an old farmhouse a mile outside town. Made a good start on moving today.
  3. The downside I see with that approach is that you may be limiting your market to people who want to take on a convo project. If you sell it as a final product you should appeal to a wider market, and get a premium price.
  4. Put a set of floatations on it and put it back on ebay?
  5. Scanned ewes in the morning, Did a drive by of a farmhouse I'm thinking of renting at lunchtime. Watched rugby all afternoon. Drinking Heineken now and watching the IFTAs.
  6. I'd say just buy the Britains 5000. I saw them for sale over Christmas for €10. Get all the parts you need in one go. That's the correct position for a 5000 throttle though. Any other position and you will damage the engine. It's not a Massey or a John Q. It's the real deal.
  7. This is the only one I've seen. It's a hybrid of the UH 6X 5000 and the later Britains 6Y 5000 to a Continental spec. http://forum.grostracteurspassion.com/viewtopic.php?f=121&t=30043
  8. My mother has a Seat Ibiza 1.4tdi 3 cylinder diesel since 2004. Will blow anything away off the line, or deliver 60+ mpg if you drive it gently.
  9. That looks the business. Thanks for posting.
  10. Time to top this thread again. I've been using a Berger Undercoat called Lead Grey to paint concrete walls and floors for the last few years, but now I've run out and can't find it in any of the hardware shops. Can anyone advise an off-the-shelf alternative, or how to go about mixing a home made alternative.
  11. I'm thinking of adding rear wheel weights to the T6090 and T7070. I was originally going to use Fendt wheel weights as they are somewhat similiar. However, on closer examination there are a couple of key differences so I'm going back to the drawing board. Has anyone any thoughts about which aftermarket or salvaged wheel weights would be a best match for the real thing? Can the weights on the Britains T8.390 be removed, and would they fit the T6 and T7? Thanks in advance.
  12. How do these look to you? http://www.artisan32.com/product.php?id_product=236
  13. We used to put the 13x7 Lees under the 4255 and the Case 895. The 18x8 Dooley went under the 6640. Always.

Hmmmmmmm ?? The only other ranges that spring to mind from the era that Weise have been doing are the Deutz InTrac 2000, Agrotron and AgroXtra. My money would be on a DX or D07C

One that isn't an Eicher variation?

The obvious contenders for new models from Weise would include; Deutz 06 series 4 cylinder Deutz 07C series Deutz DX series (I'd love a 5 cylinder) Fendt 300 series 6 cylinder c.1990 (I'd love a 2wd) Fendt 300 series 4 cylinder c.1999 Fendt 300C series Fendt 700 Vario Fendt 900 Vario Gen1, Gen 2, Gen 3. Mercedes Unimog U1600 Numerous and assorted MB-Trac and Moggie variations After that you are pretty much left with Schluter variations and Eicher variations from among the German alternatives. I'd love to see a few Steyr models from the 70s onwards, particularly the 8320 (maybe with a Pottinger Mex V reverse drive harvester with grass pickup), assuming Weise can get the necessary permissions from CNH.
  18. The 8770 is the dog's Tris. Super model for the price.
