  1. Then of course, there is the old style tractor collectors bible. It contains far more than just Britains although I would have to say there is a strong American bias to it
  2. Great idea for a topic, I have got quite a few, some of more interest that others though. To start with, how about the one that suits my collection, Four Wheels Ahead, the story of SAME tractors by Massimo de Nola. There are 2 different cover options but this is the least common version
  3. I have to admit Brian, this has got us stumped. It only seems to be you and Kireley that this is affecting. We have looked into the forum settings and tried resetting passwords at this end but nothing seems to work. The only thing that I could suggest is that you do a full scan with something like CCleaner and clear out all old cookies and start again from scratch https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download?source=cpc&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzZ-u7uuH3gIVjpPtCh3NuQntEAAYASABEgJ-V_D_BwE Just use the free version and see if it helps
  4. I assume that is the one I mentioned to you last week? I thought it looked different to the others
  5. I'd better not leave the green and yeller ones out. On the subject of JD's, I was most impressed with the performance of the newer dealer demo models. They seemed to be effortlessly pulling ploughs and cultivator trains without any change to the engine note whereas other makes started to grunt a bit when put to work
  6. There were all sorts of new fangled ploughs with hydraulic adjustments but, one of the best looking plots was this old Nash and 2 furrow Huard plough that looked like it had been in use for donkey's years
  7. More dealer tractors including a Police JCB
  8. There were some newer tractors there with a number of dealers doing demonstration plots. Also the first Union flag Valtra that I have seen instead of the more usual New Hollands
  9. Some old Fordsons still going strong, I suspect that the "coloured" version was the oldest tractor there on the day with the parrafin engine stil put-putting along nicely
  10. Loads of Nuffields and one Marshall 804
  11. I will try and group the makes together if I can. First the blues, one of which had the lowest cab I can remember seeing, the driver was having to stoop over even whilst in his seat
  12. Had a day out to the Cheshire Ploughing match at Knutsford today. There was the usual mix of old and newer machines, some having been restored and some in their working clothes. There were also a couple of unusual makes on show as well, I didn't know that Norton (of motorcycle fame) made tractors. Not the biggest but possibly the smallest one there
  13. Damn, I obviously didn't pay them enough to have you shipped off to the Gulags in Siberia
  14. Its getting a bit late in the season so I was quite surprised to see this combine out and just finishing off a field today. To be fair, the weather is windy but warm and dry so it has probably dried the crop out after the recent rains and they needed to get it in before the next predicted deluge. They were just unhitching the header as I drove past and there was a full trailer of wheat in the field where they had just unloaded, then they were off to pastures new but I didn't have time to follow them
  15. Had a killer in the garden today, one less Sparrow to feed on the bird table
  16. That has been dealt with and should have disappeared by now
  17. They are persistent I will give them that, should all be deleted now
  18. Someone at Malvern had some of them in 2017 for £10 a set and I now wish I had bought them, in 2018 they had gone up to £35 a set
  19. I have had to resize my photos for the last 2 months or so as it won't accept them as full size, not sure why as the settings say we should be good up to 7mb and mine were only 5.5mb before I resized them. I use a program called Irfanview to resize them but others may also do the same trick.
  20. oops, nearly forgot the Masseys and other odds and sods, sorry about that
  21. And last but not least, the JD tractors. I was slightly disappointed that there were no SDF tractors there, especially as the guy who used to be the local dealer was there, still, always another year next time
