  2. yep thats correct. dowdswell nearly dissappeared about 5 years ago, :'( but survived [just] by divesting of all but its ploughs. Hunton legg now has the dual spreaders, toppers, rotorspreaders etc. and Astwell got the bale wrappers... heres hunton leggs adress.....they of course make brian legg trailers, and also needham rollers, along with running gear for loads of trailers....theres a website out there somewhere...just cant remember where. 4. ok. which company made the mf loaders before ALO Quicke....[was it Faucheux?] and, who made them before that? help please
  5. Dronningborg, yes. they also used the brand name DANIA. it became a Wholly owned subsidiary of the evil AGCOcorp. recently....not sure when exactly, but this century. prior to this it was a partly owned subsidiary of MF, an im pretty sure they were involved in making combines for Deutz Fahr in the 1990s.
  6. some information for you. these first claas handlers were made by Sanderson aftrer Claas bought them in about 96. they were called the Ranger, and siku made a really crappy one for a few years [ranger 911T i think...] the one in the pic was based on a sanderson TL6 or TL7 and there was a pivot steer one based on the GX 525 ....cant remember the designation on the claas one though. Claas of course went on to have handlers made by CAT [TARGO], untill they fell out, and the current SCORPION models are made by Kramer Allrad.
  7. Mc Connel are part of the US owned Alamo group...which also includes spearhead, Bomford, twose, Rhino, Schulte, SMA, Faucheux, woods [i think] and lots more. therefor i would guess that the british loaders [bomford, mcconnel and twose] come from a similar source
  8. they are all correct models....the mf, challenger, white and allis....and iseki versions were all made together @ Banner Lane.....dont blame siku, blame AGCO.

  18. i would suggest that the seller of the fraser and marshall spreaders was probably S.D. Frater, who also makes fraser, west and marshall trailers.
