yeah that marshal bit was a good read mate, made me wonder about making one actually , got loads of pics from shepton a while back as i liked the look of it

as for the 1200 bit, was a great read, but at the time it was ground breaking stuff for the uk farming ,didnt realise so few 1250's had been made either

Big 10-4

Don't worry, two MF fleet profiles on the trot is more than enough!

Next month the fleet profile looks at a farming family from Cumbria with five mint classics - IH 885XL, Case-IH 1056XL, Case-IH 844XL, MF 135 and MF 362. Had to have some MF content in there just for Lord Ferguson.

There's quite a lot of blue in the next issue, including a cracking Ford 7810/7840/NHTS115 group comparison, a couple of features on the County 1884, plus a feature on the IH factory at Bradford, an MF 590 Rebuild, reports from Newark, EIMA and Lakeland shows, plus more. Don't want to spoil the surprise but, if it ever gets finished in time, it should be a good one.

Sounds good Rory...

The more blue based skids the better  ;)

Please forget about "Lord Ferguson" as he is a one off and the rest of the normal subscribers have better taste  ;)

Sounds excellent Rory - I love seeing fleet profiles who dare to be a different and run other makes rather than the big 3 - JQ, MF and Ford/NH.

Group comparsion should also be very interesting - I think the hard work you and the team put in is really evident in how the readers appreciate it - I know personally that I have told some guys about the magazine and they bought one and although not as hooked as me (waiting outside the shop on the last Friday morning of the month to open :D :D)  they still really enjoy it...

Keep up the good work Rory ;)

Dear Nashmach,

That's really good to know, thanks for the kind words.

A lot of hard work and effort goes into producing the magazine each month and it's good to know that it's appreciated. The aim is always to try and improve on each issue....sometimes it works out that way, other times not, but the ambition is certainly there, because you get nowhere from standing still and resting on your laurels.

Northern Ireland seems to be full or good restorations and collections. The dedication to the tractor there is amazing.

As a Classic Tractor reader I too enjoyed the Marshall story, the photos were excellent, full marks to the photographer and author. I she from Northern Ireland?

I hope the next mag focuses on NI too.

Dear Junctionone Chris

Thank you for your message. To answer your question, the journalist who took the pictures of the Marshall 804 was Chris McCullough, our Northern Ireland correspondent and top man.

We have some more good Nth Ireland stories to come in the future, including the rebuild of an MF 188 4WD. In the meantime, thank you for your kind words and comments.

Regards

Rory
