Britains Spring 2009

Its a shame Britains/ertl dont have a specialist wing of the company to reproduce some of the models in a highly detailed precision package like Wiking have done for models originally released by Siku ;) Then we might be looking forward to a JD8330 which has the correct wheels on it and a steering wheel which has a diametre thats smaller than 3feet >:(

On the other hand at least Britains managed to get the right tractor decal on the side of their model ::)  6930 my Bum >:(

There was or is the precision range from rc2 remember, would be nice to see a precision nh t6080 or t7060.

I think detail is an issue on some models in the current range as I was looking at pics of the1/16 scale case mxu 125 and the detail is spot on as it has correct wheel colour, wing mirrors and grab rails with mounted lights on them etc,so why can't these extra little details appear on the updated case and nh as they are on the newer released

puma and 7060 and bigger 1/16 model.

What I find hard to understand about the whole thing is, if RC2 want to re-hash existing models and kit, then why not take a look at some of the talented builders on here, who with a bit of hard work and glue turn some of the most standard Britains kit into masterpieces. Using tools at hand so why can't RC2 use there expensive manufacturing kit to do the same? Or why not just hire some of the lads on this forum to give them a few tips and ideas, maybe that's what is lacking at RC2 today, bring back Warner Hall is what I say, reading his very interesting articles in Model Tractor is always a pleasure.

they did G, they 'copied' (so i heard?) DT's potato boxes....but got that wrong, you cant stack them to lift up >:( >:(>:(:D :D :D::)

well i have had a look at the 2009 book and there is only the bits that blake put up on page one.

there is no picture of the MF as it reads actual machine not yet launched

for the ford fw 60 it reads  all new tooling for actual machine

all the other tractors show the real tractor

the combine header trailer is ok but i'm not impressed

bobcat is ok

the only one i like is the jcb416

it only shows the prototype image ,and its very good so far .

the jd 5430i looks good but lacks a bit in detail but for the price its very good.

Well im looking too replace my pair of JD6920 tractors this year and want 150hp models too replace them, seeing as Wiking have not managed too kid me that their 7530 is a 6930 :D im looking at other brands which means a straight fight between UHs mouthwatering new CLAAS Arion 640 (155hp) and dear old Britains New Holland T6080.  Both reallife tractors look good but Britains are gonna have too match UH detail if i am too buy blue!  Im not gonna hold my breath :(

When will some of you get it into your heads - RC2/Ertl/Britains are toys,  UH are collectors models.  They are aimed at different markets.

Britains will not match the detail of UH. Ever. Even if hell freezes.  Deal with it!!!!

Well said Plough matser, Just a shame it hits a brick wall around this place ::) ::)

This poor old horse gets flged to death each month.......

Definitely too much to hope for it being the later version with plain white bonnet and different light configuration!

This comment was regarding the new FW-60, so I suppose I should give credit to RC2 where it's due!  :-[
