alpinefocus Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 great pictures Dan. Is that grass that is growing under the maize so you have a better soil at harvest time? Texas i think that is grass that has just not been killed properly by the spray guy i think. Some fields here have bad problems with weed in the bottom. Quote

rich.new holland Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 i think that is grass that has just not been killed properly by the spray guy i think. Some fields here have bad problems with weed in the bottom. the guy next door under sows it with grass and leaves cattle on it then ploughs it in and puts maize back in Quote

Eurodeere Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 nice pics but 40 mile round trip hauling maize! How many tractors and trailers to keep the chopper running and more importantly is it viable to haul that distance (financially I mean, it's great for the drivers but the farmer?) Quote
Deere-est Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I see mate, I was hauling Shepton to Wells and/or Yeovil and then Glastonbury to Yeovil most of last week. Saw Stevens coming back from Somerton way on Friday too. An MTX and a T60??. Quote
