Kolpen
A little progress has been made to the plow. Now it is time for the rearend..... at least I can soon attach it to the tractor.... The original idea was to design the rearend myself, because I wanted to fit a servo to raise and lower. But it would look terrible and I decided to make it as the real one. Raise and lower mechanism will be inside the long square tube,..... pics to explain later. That way it want be possible to see any modifications from the real. Or at least I hope... Rearend is more or less done. Cylinder with depthstop and parts will come later this week. Comments are welcome as always! Anders Kolpen
Deere-est
Have you ever thought about building a 1:1 implement? I have not seen any model built to such finite detail as this before. It is beyond words and beyond being able to compare it to anything else!!

Kolpen
Thank you all. Nope an 1:1 impl. is'nt in the plans at the moment..... I spend a lot of time on this project. Mostly thinking, drawing and measureing rather than actually building. But then when these 3 things are ready it's quite easy to build. I have a solution for the raise and lower function that I'm looking forward to show you all in the next 14 days....... Gear and motor is ready, just needs some building...... Thanks again!! Kolpen
So here is the latest progress on the plow. Rearend is now completely done, except of the cylinder. The wheel is made from the cheap 1:32 Dickie tractor. I've seen many who uses these rearwheels to customize their 1:32 tractors. I put it in my lathe and turned out all the material on ½ the side of the wheel. Then made a ½ rim to fit in the hole. When it's painted you want notice that there is two halfs. The wheel is fittet with 2 bearings (5x2x2.5mm) Also here you will see the motorpart. From left to right > motor/gearreduction/drum/bearing/potentiometer. The idea is to wind up (½ a turn) a thin fishing line on the drum. The potentiometer togehter with a small print secures that the drum is only able to travel 180degr. The motor and gearunit has a diameter of only 8mm and fits perfect inside the square 10X10mm (8X8mm) tube. The gearbox is a planetary gearbox with a 1024:1 reduction. The short tube you see on the pics is just for tests...... Here are some pics. Comments are as always welcome! Anders Kolpen

Deere-est
Look at that great big ugly green thing.. . . No not the tractor, Shreks missus!! Anyway, the plough . . . Well what can I say.... I mean I can mess up the simplist of tasks when it comes to modelling so to see something so very perfect as this just stalls me for words. How do you find out about all these solenoids and motors etc... Are they R/C aircraft parts or precison engineering parts or what? It is an amazing thing to see being built stage by stage. Kolpen
Hello everybody. Here is some updates from the plow project. I did’nt imagine it would take so long as it does, but things takes time…. Well, here is the progress pics: Headstock Turning part. Also take a look at the small tools. It’s actually real tools made for the small nuts. In these two following pictures you will see the secrets of the turning part. Two 90dgr. bewelgears and a motor do the trick. A potentiometer is mounted to set the endpoints and it can be fine tuned via the radio controller. Here is the start of the first furrow adjustment. It will be adjusted via a spindle… Rearend is done, except of the fender over the cylinder. Turning cylinders are done with adjustment-nuts When you take a look under the plowframe you will notice the wire coming out to raise and lower the plow. Fine tuning is done by the nut on the cylinder That’s all for now…. But I’ll be back! Anders Kolpen

Deere-est
The manufacturers we see making farm models on a production scale have not got within a whisker of making anything as good as this. You are showing the 'experts' how to make models. This is truelly overwhelming to see such finite detail and all of which actually works as per a 1:1 plough!! 8)
dangray21
The skill is unbelivable. your definatly a master craftsman in this. have you done a topic on the 7930 from static to rc? as this is notabley as impresive as your other models im respects of the hitch detail. my hats off to you mate. Kolpen
So here we go again. It’s been a while since I have made anything on this plough. The tractors has got the 4WD frontaxle and a new soundunit with new features, ex. completely programmable from PC, 2 extra servooutputs, lights, brakelight, horn, volume from transmitter etc. etc….. The frontaxle is like opening a door to another world! You can’t imagine the power and grip it has got, so much difference from the 2WD setup. Back to the plough! I made some progress as you will see. A new 10mm gearmotor instead of the 8mm version, in the turnover section. Turnover section is nearly complete except of the first furrow adj. and the cylinder for the furrowwidth adj. Rearend has got a fender for the rearwheel and two for the cylinders. Also a ball link for the upper boom is ready. Hopefully the boom will be mounted before the weekend. A new lower beam will be mounted (brass). Also a bit longer, to accept 7 furrows, instead of the planned 6 furrow. I hate the thought of painting it…. It will take a month to disassemble all the individual parts… J Thank you for stopping by…. Anders Kolpen
